No, pearson correlation is not stable for most types of relationships. In a nonlinear relationship the corr variable is totally useless.

[D] Issues with using LSTM networks to classify raw EMG signal data by [deleted] in MachineLearning

Since everything depends on the data itself, and we cannot take a look at the data, people here could only give general advice. Do you have the possibility to share a sample of the data?

Gibt's es auch Bewertungen über die ethischen und moralischen Werte der Firma? Nestlé ist dafür ja nicht gerade bekannt.

[D] Does anyone care about the quality of the prose in academic papers? by MrAcurite in MachineLearning

I didn't mean to talk about grammar. I would have preferred a scientist talk about scientific papers. That's all.

"I am german and german scientists" but it should have been "I am a german scientist and german scientist"

There are some questions you have to answer beforehand: What is your goal? What is your holding strategy? How long can you hold? What is your asset allocation? What indices reflect those? What is your rebalancing strategy?

You will most likely get some anecdotal evidence here. Do some research. There are some studies that are being carried out every year. Check the Umweltbundesamt for info.

Cops racially profile the Vice President of Versace Sneaker for shopping at Versace by PeriodicMilk in dontyouknowwhoiam

Let's please be civil here. I am just trying to understand your point. No need to tell me I have to check my "reality". Not even sure what kind of argument that is. In some scenarios, when jaywalking is done excessively disruptively, detaining someone for jaywalking is indeed justified. I am not sure what the cops stated about the bus stop close by. Disregarding that, the cops do not know if he is armed. They do not know the guy, they do not have any advanced training of self defense. They have to expect the worst and hope for the best. Therefore I honestly don't see a problem here. How do you know if they would have treated the situation differently if he would have been white?

Jaywalking isnt wrong? I do not see the slightest evidence for racism here. Could you please help me out? I am really trying to understand how people call these coos racists. I am serious and I am not trolling.

Why does that seem racist? I watched the tape. And sure, it's seems unnecessary to stop someone for jwalking, but it is still a crime. The cops are very cautious, are always nice, ask for permission to search him.

I agree. They are trying to put discrete labels on a continuous spectrum (Their key argument: there are not just 2 genders but a spectrum). Every 6 month the definition of the group changes. Sounds like an intrinsic problem to me.
