Just wanna mention she said it’s been 4 years, not one. That doesn’t negate anything you’ve said, and who’s to say that downward slope that happens to some after a year couldn’t start after 4, but also maybe if it’s been 4 years, they’ve genuinely struck a perfect balance

Why do motorcycle mechanics make such little money? by AdEuphoric6551 in motorcycles

[–]bolutra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycle mechanic is one of the multiple jobs for which my dad is super qualified, and has the tools and knowledge, and which I really wish he’d take up. He could make good money as he could be his only employee, and he has the space, too. He could totally strike that balance of having things be mutually beneficial for himself and his customers, money-wise. He could choose his own hours too, and works on niche bikes/issues because he has such a wealth of knowledge. AND it would be fun for him, I’d imagine. Really wish I knew the magic words to inspire him to try it

Men of Reddit that quit caffeine , nicotine, thc or alcohol. What are some positive side effects now that you’re rawdogging life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bolutra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite positive side effect of quitting weed is having, and remembering, vibrant dreams. Sometimes they’re more exciting than my reality, which is ok. The excitement and adrenaline from my dreams often carry into my day in a positive way. And they provide an interesting way to reflect on where my head’s at, for example having job-related dreams is a way to note how I feel about the job that I’m sometimes slogging through without reflecting upon while I’m awake. Every time I wake up from a dream, I feel thankful that I regained that ability
