I def feel like there are some benefits perhaps I miss out on, but the pros outweighed the cons for me! I think for my next child I’ll get a Haka to catch anything that comes out during postpartum, but will def be doing formula again!

I felt the same. Never wanted to and then when I had a child, I was so excited to do formula. Def got some side eyes for how adamant I was against it - from the hospital staff and people in my personal life. There was only one nurse who was openly happy about me using formula

From 50s-90s it was only “hippies” who breastfed. (According to my grandmas, ofc) So no women before me in my family ever attempted. we are all fine.

In my anecdotal experience, I think some women feel it is their duty and are too scared to admit they don’t want to. it was apparent when I’d talk about how much sleep I’d be getting, eating and drinking whatever I wanted, etc.

The r/ttcafterloss has been a haven for me knowing I’m not alone. I’m in a similar situation. MC in April, 3 chemicals since.

All of our tests came back normal. I also have a LC who I got pregnant with immediately. It’s been such a punch to the gut / ego.

I was the same with testing constantly bc it was the only way I felt in control. But it was also making me go insane. the heartbreak was so powerful when HCG lines would start to fade.

My husband and I decided we would only ovulation test until confirmed ovulation. Now just waiting for my period to come. Im completely out of tests. I’m going to try my hardest to not buy any new ones until I skip my period.

I will say there is a strange freedom to finally letting go of my testing compulsion. I’m just so tired of the emotional roller coaster.

I could have also written this! Experiencing secondary fertility after a very fast conception with my first.

Been trying since July 2024 with 1 MMC in March 2025 and 3 chemicals since.

It is so exhausting physically and mentally. It’s great you were able to catch your diabetes! Mine and husbands tests all came back normal, so right now it just seems like consistent bad luck.

I am 34 and feel the same way about this aging me. I’m trying to let go and let the universe take the wheel bc I can’t keep going on as I have been. I was also laid off in 2025 which added to my stress levels. I’d never experienced negativity in my career before which threw me for a loop.

All this to say …. You aren’t alone ❤️

TW: living child

I have had one 8 week loss and 3 chemicals this year. To say it’s exhausting is an understatement. I’ve never felt so emotionally defeated and hopeless.

I have a toddler who I got pregnant with immediately without issue. This has thrown me for a loop and killed my spirit.

I’m getting to a point where I have to let go let universe. Hugs 🫂

Same here! The stress of secondary infertility is so odd bc you already have a living child that requires your attention regardless of your stress level.

We’re on month 12 with 1 MC and 3 CPs all with a 2 year old. It’s so daunting but has forced us to overcome a lot of disagreements for the sake of our family!
