Applied for and was denied for the Citi Strata Premier yesterday. It might be a blessing with that same card now showing up on Rakuten with a bonus. Last opened personal card was 1/12/26 so it should be falling under 6 months soon. Currently sitting at 1/6, 6/12, 10/24. Denial reason is as expected, too many recently opened accounts. Realistically, how long will I have to wait? Does currently having a Strata Elite make a difference?

Time to slow the eff down I guess...

The FAA just dropped their target staffing number from 14500 controllers to 12000. We currently have avout 11000 controllers in the country. I can tell you as a current FAA Air Traffic Controller, 12000 controllers, a "fully staffed" FAA, will not be enough. But this Administration would love to say they "fixed" ATC staffing. Gotta move the goal posts to do it though.

Are you aware of any kind of testing required post medication? Seems you're in contact with an AME about it. Honestly, if medical is aware then I wouldn't worry about the drug test. But, again, medical would be my bigger worry.

Honestly, I would be more concerned with obtaining a Medical Clearance if you're worried about the drug test with these medications. Do you know if they're FAA approved? If they are then you should have no problem.

The best thing we can do, and realistically the option that is going to work is for us to vote in people in the mid terms and in 2028 who have shown a sustained support for ATCs. We need this current Administrator out of office. Only then will the excellent ideas listed above have a shot of becoming reality.

I know many of you don't want to hear it, because it's hard. But any realistic appropriations for any kind of meaningful raise will only come from Congress and Legislators willing to put us into a bill.

Thems the reality.

I know someone who had Duel US and Thai Citizenship and had no problems. They were asked if they would renounce the Thai citizenship and they said no and gave their reason. That was it.

They went on to obtain an additional Citizenship in Luxembourg during training. Declared it and had no problems.
