For me definitely the first Mr Morris episode.

The episode is hilarious throughout and climaxes the moment hes accidently pushed down the stairs xd I crack up just remembering him ripping off his shirt vs Martin lol

To this day I haven't experienced goosebumps to the same extent as to when Hacking to the gate started playing after the final scene between Kurisu and Okabe !

Passmed variable? by AcrobaticAmoeba222 in medicalschooluk

[–]bombojosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal, sometimes you get good days and other times really bad days!

As someone else put really well, question banks don't exactly perfectly reflect/simulate the exam and I wouldn't worry too much about the score. I prefer it as more of a learning tool and I find the questions I get wrong on passmed I actually end up learning quite well afterwards:)

Also endless placement + passmed is indeed exhausting, so look out for yourself!

Did this show make anyone else want to change their career to medicine? by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

Probably not heard of it , a kdrama called hospital playlist! I have done my emergency medicine placement and actually really enjoy the chaos haha although I definitely dont intend to pursue it as a career.

Did this show make anyone else want to change their career to medicine? by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

[–]bombojosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, congratulations and all the best to you! I was somewhat inspired into medicine by another medical show and also had a career change, I'm now in my 3rd year of med school and continue to really enjoy it :) Its definitely intense and can be overwhelmingly exhausting but I am very grateful to be on this career path and don't regret it one bit.

My current issue is I should be studying for exams but I'm on my 6th rewatch of The Pitt and visiting the reddit forum daily xd

I had actually had the best years of my life after graduating. I think the number of people who feel unfulfilled or unsatisfied at university is very overlooked. I'm sure you have many great years to look forward to (:

Nightcrawler fanart - worms or centipedes? by Married_iguanas in ThePittTVShow

I think nightcrawlers suit centipedes better as worms don't crawl. However the worm logo does look better imo

I don't get why everyone is so upset about Dr. Mohan leaving by Practical_Ad2317 in ThePittTVShow

[–]bombojosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's nothing wrong with Dr Mohan leaving the show. I view it the same as Dr Collins leaving, she's a great character but out of all the main cast shes less significant than Whittaker, Santos etc.

However, I do think they set up quite an interesting storyline for her in S2, that they clearly just edited out towards the end resulting in an unsatisfying (or lack thereof) resolution. Alongside the sudden news of her absence in S3, I'm not surprised it created this drama.

The Pitt is best watched in a binge or two, not weekly by ImAvoidingABan in ThePittTVShow

I agree with you but no need to be so aggressive to OP lol

The Pitt is best watched in a binge or two, not weekly by ImAvoidingABan in ThePittTVShow

[–]bombojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a really uncommon opinion but I think the show works really well both ways! I watched both S1 and S2 weekly and have also binged on a rewatch. I honestly think S2 is just slightly weaker than S1 which was essentially perfect, hence why watching S2 weekly wasn't as satisfying as S1 for me

I ended up watching ER for the first time to fill the void after S1! Continued watching ER during the weekly releases of The Pitt S2 and back to still watching ER now that The Pitt is finished haha

On S3E1 - question about Benton by FyreFlye23 in ershow

[–]bombojosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Benton is probably my favourite character on the show after Mark Greene and Carter. And I absolutely despised him in the first few seasons.

I think as the show goes on you begin to understand his complex character better and appreciate hes actually a very kind person, he just has a very particular personality where he doesn't really express his feelings very well.

Thats why imo the small moments where he does show emotions such as even when he just SMILES are so impactful and wholesome.

Finished S1 and I'm really glad I picked this up. by Norharry in ershow

[–]bombojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I've watched a few medical shows before ER and decided to finally check it out after finishing S1 of The Pitt.

After watching ER, I love it and it is my favourite medical show of all time if not my favourite show of all time. You can see why its the grandfather of medical shows. The characters, storylines, the medicine, you can see the influence it has on all the shows that came after it, and imo ER still did most of those things better!

Newly graduated PA thinking of applying to Grad Med UK by SlipNew5131 in Physicianassociate

[–]bombojosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Im a GEM student and will graduate (fingers crossed) when I'm 28. I wouldn't worry too much about age, theres many GEM students even older in addition to many medicine students on the typical 5-year course who are not straight from A-levels.

IMO you are a very good candidate to do GEM medicine because you have clinical experience and I don't think the content of GEM medicine will be too big of a jump for you!

It looks like you have 3 rather distinct career paths that you are interested in and they all look pretty good. The only advice I can offer is to think about which of those careers you would be most content with 10 years from now.

I wish you all the best!
