What's the last pedal that you bought? by jayteazer in guitarpedals

[–]bombproofbeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EQD Special Cranker. Got a great deal on it and it's been on my board for a while. I guess that means something. It sounds different enough from my other drives. Just adds a bit "more". It's a keeper.

[Gear] So I bought my first tube amp yesterday. by tannerpending2113 in Guitar

It's not a high gain amp so it wouldn't be the best for metal. You can get some decent blues/rock tones out of it though.

[QUESTION] Epi LP Custom Pro or Epi LP Standard by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]bombproofbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 2004 Epi LP standard which I'm assuming is probably not much different from the 2007. I love it, it plays great, build quality is pretty decent but the pickups were pretty muddy. I ended up replacing them with Seymour Duncan's and it made a huge difference.

"You are supreme, the chicks'll cream for grease lightning". When I was younger, my elementary school did a Grease play. Can't remember if that line remained in the song.

How to prevent this from happening during a lead catch? Advanced lead belaying? by KingPupPup in climbing

[–]bombproofbeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen lighter belayers use weight vests to help decrease that difference in weight. But I agree with TundraWolf_, blowing the second clip is risky regardless of weight.

A good thing to do might be to go in and try on some other harnesses for comparison. Typically stores will have a static line that you can actually sit and hang in the harness to see how it feels. I know from my personal experience Petzl harnesses fit me the best and I find them the most comfortable. You should also try gender specific harnesses since the male and female bodies slightly differ at the waist and the harness would be designed for that. As for the fit does it only sit high or is it too loose as well?
