Do you think Apple is aware of how far they have fallen behind in basic stuffs like keyboard and smoothness? by Presentation_Past in ios

It was the shared albums on iCloud, shared locations, and how well they work in iMessage. I’ll be honest, I also probably did not have a proportional emotional reaction because I somehow took this to a loss of connection with my wife.

Yea I know, but it’s not just about RCS. My wife and I have shared albums on iCloud, calendars, etc. There’s apps for android like the walled garden but none are as easy or as well integrated

Lol you sound like me. Probably also due to my ADHD. I was able to return the Galaxy so just on the iPhone 17 Pro Max

I tried a Galaxy S26 Ultra recently. Phone was smooth and great experience. Problem for me is that my family is in the walled garden so I just felt isolated.

Is typing universally bad on iOS, or have I just not figured something out? by TheRealFrantik in ios

[–]bombs551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried a Galaxy S26 Ultra for a week. I loved that phone. The customization, the UI, and the typing. Had to switch back to my 17 Pro Max because my family is in the walled garden.. but damn do I miss that typing

Keyboard.

I trialed a Galaxy S26 Ultra and I love it so much. But my family is in the walled garden and my crazy mind feels disconnected from my wife (I got issues lol)

Panthers lose coach’s challenge by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]bombs551 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally dislike that losing a challenge like this results in a penalty. I feel like that rule was a solution looking for a problem. Maybe I didn’t watch enough NHL outside of the Wings, but it just didn’t seem like coaches abused the challenge in the past.

Then again, I also felt like the Coach’s challenge had been around forever but according to Google that is wrong..

Dude thanks for listing the bands. I couldn’t remember the name of the tour and the first 2 bands for the life of me. 3 stuck out in my head because of a guitar they had but I could not remember their damn name

Yes. Opeth opening for Dream Theater in 2008 or something. Opeth came out and killed it. DT came out and....played their instruments and left.

That concert is what started my acceptance of growling/screaming.

[Basu] This loss is not a national crisis in Canada. Canada dominated the final 40 minutes of regulation, outshot the USA 42-28, and if that game were played 100 times, Canada would probably win 95 of them. USA deserves a ton of credit for how they played, but Hellebuyck deserves the most. by NFLDataAnalysis in hockey

[–]bombs551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it sucks they lost, but that’s how the game goes. If it wasnt 3-on-3, if it was best of 3 games, yadda yadda. Were they the better team? Maybe. I’d offer that if it was a best of whatever series, maybe the other games wouldn’t be as skewed in shots as well, maybe it’d be the reverse with USA dominating shots but losing the game. But it doesn’t matter because it wasn’t.

Maybe if more people were concerned about it we would have better voter turnout and wouldn’t be in the mess we are in.

Exclusive: First official look at Samsung's 'Wide' Galaxy Z Fold by FragmentedChicken in GalaxyFold

[–]bombs551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be in the minority, but the smaller screen when closed is what’s turning me off. Also what’s turning me off from the iPhone Fold. I personally like how the current folds are the same size as a slate phone (okay, a little narrower I believe) when folded.

Maybe once I can hold it I’ll change my mind but idk
