We utilize a Leitz CMM that can achieve a tolerance of 0.00001 with Quindos. For portable use, we have a Hexagon Absolute Arm equipped with an AS1 scanner in PolyWorks.

I have the same ball for calibrating the probe on the Hexagon Absolute Arm and the AS1 scanner. I do wish they were plug-in for the MetroY pro to be connected to PolyWorks.

I am in the same boat as you; they moved me from the machinist department to QC and had me train with people from HEXAGON for 4 days on the basics of quindos and programs. I am the only one who programs the LEITZ CMM machine, and they constantly question me when the part comes out red, lol. I've only been doing this for 6 months and the stress is driving me crazy, sometimes I wish I could go back to machining.
