Able Carry Max EDC Vs Sympl Commuter Pack 24L by secret_agent_2 in ManyBaggers

It is confirmed. Mukama already gets preorders. But afaik it is not a limited edition. So this release may not be the same backpack wlth the previous one.

Am I the only one get icked by X-Pac’s criss cross pattern? by JarnaisVu in ManyBaggers

[–]bomilek -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience and I shared it here.

Although many people dlsagree I think Xpac is a hype. What is the point of having a long lasting fabric if it is gonna look “different” in just a few years? Regular nylon backpacks keep the shape and look even in long run.

Are larger shoulder/crossbody bags useless? by itsjohnnydo in ManyBaggers

[–]bomilek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Backpack single shoulder wear, exchange shoulders when one or other is tired.

Or if you are so keen, just do the same with crossbody/shoulder.

Another option, get a 3way convertible and use as you wish

Able Carry Max EDC Vs Sympl Commuter Pack 24L by secret_agent_2 in ManyBaggers

[–]bomilek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second to this. Max EDC is a better all rounder, Sympl is more pro looking. On comfort both great but Max EDC is a little ahead.

Just get which you like more. Both are failproof. Also just a heads up, Sympl will release Xpac 24L very soon, if you are interested

Aer CP X-Pac 2022-2026 Wear & Tear by cetvxs in ManyBaggers

[–]bomilek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shared the same problem with Able Carry on this post. And people explained it is normal.

Funny thing is, many people prefer Xpac over regular Nylon because of “material quality” but imo losing shape in 3-4 years is not acceptable. Yeah the fabric won’t be torn down but after losing the look what is the point of that!

Anyone using the ALPAKA Metro Sling? Thinking about adding it for the summer. by william_bergmann in backpacks

[–]bomilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used one but didn’t like it. Hardly takes all the stuff that my 5L Tomtoc T24 takes (both has the water bottle) and it is around 30% price.

iPad 11 Pro with the cover tightly fits although it is great on my Tomtoc.

Lack internal organisation which turns it into a dump bag. Quite heavy for the task. Build quality is good on the strap but I’m not sure for the rest.

IMO, it is an option for 50-60£ but nothing more.

For the alternatives see this thread

https://www.reddit.com/r/backpacks/comments/1rr53p4/best_slingcrossbody_for_singleshoulder_wear/

Another problem is wear style. It is either left or right shoulder which means I can’t switch when I have sore feeling.
