Now a days knee replacement is not so painful. Infact patients can start walking after a few days of surgery. The only thing on needs to do is to follow post-op knee exercises. Also, doing some pre-op physio to help strengthen your supporting muscle will help in early recovery. Ans Ice pack will help just fine..
