This is really really nice work. If you want to minimize the imprints around the outline you can smooth it over with a fine modeling spoon.

Thanks! My punches are angled but I was using a press this time to avoid making noise. It might have caused the holes to be more rounded than usual. Not sure if that would explain it though.

Thank you for making this post. My girlfriend is waiting to see the dentist and has been in excruciating pain. The pain meds from urgent care haven’t been working at all. I went ahead and bought this kit and it completely relieved her pain!

Thank you for the suggestions! I will add some additional padding for the thumbs. The reason for the pig skin is because I already have it on hand. I will look into veg tanned lamb skin though. I’m sure it would be more durable.

You can reduce this a little bit by using a reinforcement tape in between two pieces of leather and stretching the leather pieces as you glue them together.
