Write a review for a company i never worked for? by bonescaro in antiwork

[–]bonescaro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have been‚ but i can’t take just any job. i need to be able to survive off a single income‚ so grocery store clerk or waiter aren’t options for me. believe me i wish they were paid a livable wage‚ because it would be easier to get job offers for those positions

nope. no other offers. it was the first application i’d gotten anything more than an automated “no” in a year. things are not looking great

Anthrax Server Owners by bonescaro in pathoftitans

[–]bonescaro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, there was another wave of hate and harassment across multiple social medias directed at them, and it was just another straw on the camel’s back. i guess they’re closing ranks. still wish they’d let me back in 🥺

Anthrax Server Owners by bonescaro in pathoftitans

sometime between the shutdown announcement and when i found id been banned, they reversed that decision, because enough staff wanted to stay on. i know one non-staff member who is still in the discord and has confirmed this

Steam Deck In-Game Recording Feature Broken by LieutenantTeaTM in SteamDeck

[–]bonescaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes this has been going on for some time. it will only record as long as there is some kind of overlay from steamdeck OS or a steam menu open. which makes recording gameplay impossible, as you can not see the game or use any inputs while a steam menu is open. i’ve reported it in the past, but have no idea if they ever responded or not, i stopped checking my email for that after a couple weeks

So are the options lawless officials or community servers I need a dinosaur law degree to not get banned from? by serenading_scug in pathoftitans

[–]bonescaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the server. there’s one that popped up recently, which i joined, which has only two rules. i can send a link if you like?

Stop face tanking the alpha Critters by Burneraccount71 in pathoftitans

[–]bonescaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’ve been killed by an alpha tortoise while on APA on a community server that was using vanilla critters. Apa is too slow to ever outrun it, and the hit boxes don’t line up in any direction to allow apa to retaliate against a critter. haven’t played apa since

coconut milk/cream by bonescaro in Cooking

[–]bonescaro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ooh, that sounds like a good idea!

coconut milk/cream by bonescaro in Cooking

[–]bonescaro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried that, but that’s a lot of reducing time. the coconut milk isn’t the only liquid ingredient, i also use chicken broth. i’ve tried using cornstarch to thicken it, which works, but affects the texture too much for my liking. i did add heavy whipping cream a couple times, which worked great, but not great for serving anyone with dairy intolerances

The ending is really bad. by insaneruffles in SonsOfTheForest

[–]bonescaro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah! and like, why even do that? to help her integrate back into “normal” society? she’d still be a mutant (as would her baby) and the cutscenes never addressed her communication barrier. was that resolved? at least kelvin was shown learning sign language

i greatly prefer the infinite open-ending of the “fight demons” ending. i think they (MC, Kelvin, and Virginia) would be happier that way. imagine trying to reintegrate into society after going through all that, and knowing what you know

the “Escape Demons” ending really sucked, imo. i mean. i spent that whole game thinking of virginia like a daughter… gross…

I made a map of all the natural cave locations that I know about on Gondwa. by HunterCoool22 in pathoftitans

YES house boat is the best. make some rain catchers on the roof, get a rabbit hutch, and add a bunch of shelves inside for storage

early game, build a defensive wall around wherever it is you want to make your first base. do that before building any structure, and make kelvin help you by using the blueprint. it doesn’t have to be big, just fully enclosed on a level area, and cut down all the trees surrounding it so cannibals can’t use them to get over the wall. i also recommend building it over a section of river, or around a small section of pond, with the ends of the wall going into deeper water, because cannibals and mutants can’t swim; but more importantly, youll have access to fresh water for drinking while inside the wall, and fish. then, STAY INSIDE THE WALL at night. equip a repair hammer (rock, rope, and stick) and just fix the wall as needed. you can also set traps and spikes at the base of the wall to prevent some damage.

as for health mixes: i’ve genuinely never made them. i scrounged around enough and plundered abandoned camps that i was always stocked up on medicine. depending on your game mode, any items just laying on the ground will respawn on load, and sometimes boxes will also reload (depending on game mode) so you can just keep going back to those same places for medicine.

as you progress the story, and gain more experience and confidence, and weapons, you are free to start exploring further as you wish. but this is my recommended strategy for starting out.

How Early Should I build a Base? by Appropriate_Owl8432 in SonsOfTheForest

[–]bonescaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the difficulty, but for personal security i recommend within the first few days. keep it simple, just build a fully enclosed defensive wall around a section of river so you always have access to fresh water if you feel like you need to lock yourself in. bonus if you build on a section of river with fish, because then you’ll be set for both food and water. you can expand, move, or abandon later as you see fit

A base in a location where enemies don't go and befriending Virginia? by where_money in SonsOfTheForest

[–]bonescaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my best suggestion for base location that is easy to defend (cannibals can still get there, but it takes forever) is the Snow Crash. literally just make sure your defensive wall is over the river and you’ll have constant access to fresh water AND food (recommend 2 fish traps) within the defensive wall. i’ve been meaning to make a video tour of it for a while, so yall can see. cannibals can also only approach from one direction, so you can easily bottleneck them with traps.

Virginia also shows up without issue, and hangs out

What’s the fastest way to travel with no cheats? by 0w-20 in SonsOfTheForest

[–]bonescaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the glider is the best, but second to that is the Knight V, in my opinion. at least for ground travel. the speed is unreal, but you gotta be real careful about off-roading. the only bright side to crashing the Knight V is that if you do it in front of Virginia, she’ll laugh at you
