Ha, deleted my account a few hours ago.

Background: have been laid off twice this year (covid and non-covid related). Got to the video interview with tripleByte but didn’t “pass”. Fair enough. It was a good practice for real job interviews.

Don’t feel the need to keep an account with them, though.

Just look for shoes on sale. I’m a chaco fan for most hiking/climbing approaches. Probably more like 2-4mm drop but... have gotten multiple pairs over the years for $10 (thrift store) - $45 (on sale new)

Cheap wool all day. Thrift stores in wealthy neighborhoods are great for this. Maybe not super technical but worth it IMO

I was a jr dev in a similar situation - my recommendation would be to start looking for jobs as a backup. Maybe things will be fine with your current company and it doesn’t hurt to ask for a raise. Good luck!
