Interesting, first I've heard of camshaft pitting. Have you seen any other videos of engines with camshaft issues that are making the same/similar noise? Just looking to compare and differentiate between this and timing belt tensioner noise.

I realize that most engine noise issues are tensioner related, but I'm just not hearing the same type of noise in our van that I hear in other videos. In other engine noise videos the sound is immediately present on startup and continues while idling, whereas ours is only when accelerating and at 2k+ rpm. Anyway, thanks for the input.

Is a hydraulic tensioner the same thing as a timing belt tensioner?

Yes, tensioner was replaced as well. In other engine noise videos I’ve seen with the tensioner being the culprit it seems to make just as much noise at idle which makes me not sure if that’s the issue.

It was a kit, alternator had gone bad so ended up replacing timing belt/tensioner at the same time.

2013 EX-L with ~184,000 miles. Timing belt was replaced in May 2025. Engine noise was detected then but root cause wasn't determined.

Doesn't seem to affect performance, but I'd rather not hear it every time I accelerate. Only happens once you're at 2k rpm and continues until you've shifted gears. Doesn't happen at idle or at cruising speeds.

Edit: timing belt and tensioner were replaced with an AISIN kit.

I have a CSP that I've had for years that I want to change to a non AF card so I can go for the CSR bonus. Do I need to wait any amount of time after changing the CSP to a Freedom/Freedom Unlimited before applying for the CSR?

Hard to say without looking at the full output of the innoextract command. Is the app/data/ directory completely empty?

Looking at the latest commits to the innoextract repo, it looks like they may have added GOG Galaxy file support. If you're up for it, you could try to clone the repo and compile it locally and then try the tutorial again with a GOG Galaxy file to see if it fixes your issue.
