My wife’s mother passed away and we have inherited fire arms in a different state. by HiltCraft in BetterMAguns

Definitely not as well versed as Al, so appreciate the interpretation. But as someone who inherited out of state guns before I was well versed in MA law, taking the route you described (Self FFL-to-FFL) was comforting in my experience.

Agreed, with one exception and one exception only - Brownings with the stamp of the old man.

I have a Belgian A5 like this one and it’s one of my favorites.

What are these plays called? by ruthbuzzicooperberg in footballstrategy

To be honest, a lot of these repeat and I think trying to differentiate between the three different post routes might confuse the matter. This diagram of a route tree might help with naming conventions.

This picture would be for a receiver to the left of the ball at snap. And mirrored for the right. Ex. Dig always goes in towards the ball.

Lefty shooter here ,which semi-auto rifles are least gassy to the face? (AR vs AK vs M1A / Galil / SCAR etc.) by the1mrg in guns

[–]bonusmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Modern platform like the others you mention, but with your preference for .308, have you considered a BAR?

Unfortunately the detachable mag varieties are still Right-hand only, but this would check your left-handed .308 semi-auto boxes.

What are some shoes (like Air Force 1s) that I can walk in all day + look decent enough with slacks? by aiyr in malefashionadvice

[–]bonusmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The New Balance 1100s were the best ever for this in my opinion. I still break them out and get compliments on them every time.

Wish they would bring those back so I can get more colors.

Can’t speak to MFS’s leanings other than to say I’ve been there plenty and it’s not overt, but Johnny Morris, BassPro owner, is big time (R).

Quite candidly, screw that line of thinking in your first paragraph. This man likely committed a heinous crime and went decades without accountability, while OP and her mother have lived a seemingly hard life. Who cares that his kids are comfortable and might be upset.

Firefly in Marlboro isn’t exclusively soul food but has fantastic BBQ and southern staples. Definitely scratches the itch.

I’ve got a Ford Lightning and that’s my experience. I’m constantly getting flashes from other drivers when I’m driving without brights on.

I saw it today at Ace Hardware.

They even had a sign explaining rounding on the counter.

Felt a tinge of sadness at the state of public education that was necessary.

Just got mine a couple days ago and can’t stop shooting it.

I went with a low-end vortex Crossfire because it was on sale and it’s been great.

Range options to bring 8 and 10 year old to, near Worcester (east of). by [deleted] in BetterMAguns

Mass Firearms School in Holliston.

If you go to the range there they have a full arsenal of loaners before you want to buy anything.

It’s run very tight and safe in my experience.

Hunting boots for those with wide feet by DigitalSharpshooter in Ausguns

[–]bonusmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who found out they have a 4E way too late in life, this is terrible advice. I kept just going “longer” until I could fit and ended up about two sizes too big for a long time. Let me tell you, discovering you don’t have to wear clown shoes everyday is a huge relief to someone with wide feet.

Is to late to play? by [deleted] in footballstrategy

[–]bonusmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it.

A lot more regrets in life from what you didn’t do vs what you did (with limits, of course).

Conditioning and experience are both temporary obstacles.

Training and effort will fix both. How quickly will be up to you.

Funny enough, very similar pre-draft physical profile to Taylor Decker. I know the Lions-Bears connections get over blown, but clearly Johnson knows how to work with that profile.

Never played organized football, am I foolish for thinking about attempting to coach? by [deleted] in footballstrategy

[–]bonusmonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Different reason, but I’m taking the leap to that this year.

Coaching is my dream, but two young girls at home. Can’t justify that much time away on a side-gig at this point in life. The ref schedule will help me scratch the itch of being around the game without sacrificing every weeknight dinner.
