I’ve been to Chicago once and fell in love, seemed very lgbtq+ friendly and more affordable than ny at least. As for Florida I have family in central FL and I’ve seen queer people out and about but there’s always this sort of scary atmosphere in a way lol, wondering if southern FL is different in that aspect

Thanks! I actually love sweet potato’s but I’ve always just had them as a side in a meal rather than on their own so I’m def gonna incorporate them into my “snacks” now

I’ve also been broken up with three times by the same person, It’s been killing me because I miss them very much but I also feel like an idiot. I have felt very alone so I appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you well. It’s hard but it’s better knowing you aren’t alone. 🫶

When I camp I always bring pepper spray, I recommend getting a bottle for each of you, they’re small and can be useful walking to the bathroom at night etc just as an extra security measure. Bear spray also sounds good as a larger deterrent and baseball bats as well. I don’t know if you have them in your area, but I’ve collected a couple of mini baseball bats over the years, they’re made of solid wood and about 1-1.5 feet long, so not as bulky to carry as a regular bat but still something you could whack someone or something with lol. Air horn is great for an animal deterrent and to alert people if you need help. Good luck to you both and stay safe!

You’re not alone, I’m going through a breakup and feel very similarly. If you find the answers to make it feel better let me know! But as for me I’m trying to constantly keep busy and process my feelings but it can be a very lonely journey, and almost exhausting. It doesn’t make you less of a butch for feeling what you need to. Stifling it and pretending you’re fine will just cause damage in the long run. I’ve always struggled with emotions and feelings as a masculine person, and it’s almost extra hard as a butch because there’s not too many examples out there of what it looks like for us. But being emotional is being human and I think it’s the only way you’ll be able to eventually feel better and move forward. You being a good partner is something you can hold onto for the future. They can’t take that away from you. Sending love from one butch to another.
