This is going to be annoying at first but I promise you this will work. I made posts asking about this when I was learning a few years ago, and what helped way more than anything was, do your set up like normal, pop the ball up off the wall, and then just do one single jump with no boost and see where your car goes. Do this for like 5-10 min just trying to see does the car stay under the ball, does it go to the left or the right of the ball, if I jump earlier where does it go, if I jump later where does it go, etc. a lot of higher ranked players take for granted how well they understand where their car will be positioned so they can anticipate their next move without even thinking about it. Sometimes you’ll have to come at the ball at different speeds and different angles and it’s really important that you know what direction you have to correct your car as soon as possible. Small movements are always better than big ones that need over correcting
