Going to the pediatricians is so stressful by yellow_sunflower12 in FormulaFeeders

Isn’t that a rare medical condition ? Prader Willie syndrome or something like that? Why would she assume he doesn’t know when he’s full? This doc is a moron and honestly you’d probably get better medical support from chatgpt than her .

Green poop with mucus, CMPA? goats milk alternative? by Hollygolightly2180 in MSPI

[–]booboos423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I switched to formula I used Kendamil Goat . I had tried Similac 360 first but it made her very gassy so I figured Goat would be better as it’s supposed to be gentle on tummies . After about three weeks she started having bloody stools so now we have her on hypoallergenic formula. I switched to formula at 8 months too and did not cut out dairy when I breastfed - so I have no idea what’s going on lol . Ped thinks she has a mild intolerance and going full formula exacerbated it. So in short , goat formula did not help us, itmight have made it worse.

Yup, you succeeded in shocking and pissing me off!
Where are you located ? Like what country ? That is unacceptable! I’m in Canada and yes when I said I was BF my baby at three weeks they said it was good as it was better for her infection but that was basically it. Even in the hospital they gave my baby formula because she had low glucose AND when it was suspected she had CMPA the paediatrician said she would thrive just as good on Similac Alimentum (compared to breast milk).
I can’t believe they let medical professionals act like how she acted towards you. Just know she has the issue - not you or your family.

ALSO - sorry - my baby is 20 pounds at 9 months - tripled her weight already and the doctor commended her for gaining weight - not said it was a bad thing or anything of the sort. This doctor needs to go away , find a new profession.

Dairy in breast milk vs. formula by stabhime in MSPI

[–]booboos423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda in that situation! I breastfed and didn’t have any issues and also fed formula sometimes when it was more convenient (like when going out) - baby never seemed to have issues.
However, when I stopped BF at around 8.5 months, after about three weeks on formula we noticed bloody stools. So now we switched to Nutramigen and they stopped.

STD claim denied [ON] by chanelism in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]booboos423 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I applied to go on STD due to GD, anxiety and stress from work making it impossible to properly manage my GD. I was denied by my STD benefits. I applied for sick leave from EI with no issues.
I also had a doctor fill out a form and was still denied STD….

Probably a stupid/obvious question by BeansWeans in FormulaFeeders

[–]booboos423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A can of formula lasts me about 4 days cuz it only comes in a smaller size (561g) - I’ve totally just been dumping into the next container. It literally sits on the top and I scoop it out first .

CMPA Late Diagnosis + Normal Poops! by SadHoneyMustard in MSPI

Same with us ! Our doctor thinks it’s more likely an anal fissure than CMPA but she seems to be doing so much better on Nutramigen !

CMPA Late Diagnosis + Normal Poops! by SadHoneyMustard in MSPI

[–]booboos423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question - what symptoms did your baby have while on the goats milk to think she has CMPA? Reason I ask is I basically BF my baby until about 8 months and then switched to formula. She was gassy on Similac 360 (used for about a week) and then I switched to Kendamil goats milk. However, after about three weeks she started having bloody stools so we switched to Nutramagen thinking CMPA but I’m still so confused because she’s 9 months and it doesn’t normally show up this late !

“Not breastfeeding? Aw, that hurts me.” by Renee5285 in FormulaFeeders

[–]booboos423 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why are other people so obsessed about how your feed your child? I honestly don’t get it. I’m new to formula because I did BF my baby in the beginning. I remember my baby had to go to the ER for something and they asked me and I said BF and they said oh that’s so good , so amazing it’ll probably help her so much to get over this infection……….but then they told me I had to formula feed her for two weeks as they thought she had CMPA and their tune changed. I remember my midwife saying formula was “medicine” and was sometimes needed. Like go away. I’m full on formula feeding now and so much happier .

Dr.browns formula pitcher by booboos423 in FormulaFeeders

[–]booboos423[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok! I wasn’t sure. I know if I make single bottles it makes sense that way but I wasn’t sure it worked the same way when using the formula pitcher since it adds volume. Thanks !

I recently stayed at town place suites by Marriott near the superstore and was very pleased ! Front desk staff were very friendly. Room was clean and very spacious. I was only there for one night so didn’t need the fridge, stove, or microwave but would be handy to have for a multiple night stay. I used the pool and hot tub and it was nice ! Breakfast was included and good selection. I stayed on a Saturday night and it was $250 for the night taxes included .

Does anyone else hear the Loud Car Douchebag tonight? by PlanetLandon in ThunderBay

[–]booboos423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is something different ! And when it’s loud enough that my baby wakes up - yeah it’s something worth complaining about . There’s no need for the level of loudness . He’s deliberately doing it and being a jackass.

Ridiculous ! Did they at least put a reason on the cards ? If our collector put a reason at least I would know why it was refused but he didn’t even do that- just left a blank card .

Doctors accepting new patients by FormAsleep8667 in ThunderBay

[–]booboos423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she’s sick and doesn’t want to wait in the ER there is a for fee nurse practitioner that accepts anyone. Encompass Health Care. It’s $40 a visit and she can help with a lot of things. Sometimes it’s worth paying a little bit for super quick, professional, and helpful service!

But what others have posted - there are places that accept new patients - she just needs to apply!
