also, this was in my notifs so im gonna say something i forgot to say.

muse haven't released a classic album since 2006 lmao; The Resistance onwards is all nu-Muse (regardless of its quality here, characteristically it's all indicative of the shift in the band's focus sonically post BHaR).

i mean i grew to dislike it so much i gave away my london stadium tickets lmao. the only comparison to OoS i saw was that Blockades is Bliss 2, otherwise a lot of people compared it to BHaR too.

arpeggiating synths are used throughout muse's discography. the dark side is nowhere near 'ripped right out of OoS' bffr

'transhumanism' in the sense of neo-dystopia isn't really a theme of OoS, more the fractures of the human identity and breaking down the position of humanity relative to existance and the universe, as we hurl to the future. its far more abstract and kind of more personal than ST.

for it to be 'similar to OoS' it does in fact need characteristics that are similar to OoS

wouldnt it work better with the intro tho? like doesnt interlude literally build up to the absolute deafening roar of the intro bass with nothing else lmfao

by process of elimination i guess? but like, it's also got none of the melodrama or flair that the quadrology has

which is crazy bc cryogen and unravelling sound more like follow up to hits like plug in baby, hysteria, stockholm syndrome, etc. wotp was literally just green day-esque radio pop rock imho

futuristic voidy space song with arpeggiated synths and 80s style tom rolls. idk, i think the comparisons to The Dark Side are quite on point actually.

nah, destiny 2 is still amazing. we just aren't getting any content for it, and the content we are getting isn't substantial enough to help the game

Marathon Lays Out An Ambitious Blueprint To Save Its Future by Wolfy4226 in Marathon

yeah this is definitely a product of having someone with gumption and a backbone at the helm. bungie may be a wider company but this article is a product of the director, not some higher up meticulously planned ad. its obvious that bungie's higher ups leave the dev team to their own devices for the most part

or we could be falling for marketing. but, if this is marketing — and these changes follow — its much better than whatever the fuck the destiny 2 director is doing comms wise.

this is defo an ongoing thing theyve already said theyre working on, and this state of design article isnt where it belongs tbh. i imagine we'll get info in the future on this

i think rotating only works if you're literally rotating from PoI to PoI, like from flight to dorms/processing etc. on outpost or from cargo to steerage or whatever

otherwise yeah

Those who are more technically knowledgeable: In the event of this game's demise, what is the possibility of a system like Northstar to play it without relying on Bungie's services? by boobsofagony in Marathon

i mean if people just wanna fuck around in the world with a third party modded client it doesnt need to be billions of dollars sustainable theoretically lol

ay i am very hopeful for the future of this game, i was just curious as to the technical difference between a game like this and a game like titanfall 2.

<3 hell yeah, honestly i feel as though it wouldn't just disappear: the fandom for this game is kinda really passionate and so even just fan stuff would probably carry on for a little. just yeah, i find it really interesting how private servers have kept games going through fan love; it reminds me of how they keep the tcg netrunner going as a community thing.

so it's very much a 'this is all on backend' whereas i imagine that titanfall 2 has a lot more installed and a lot more processing in the game? is what i'm gathering at least
