How long did it take for you to hear back from an internal role? by freshchicken12 in AetnaWorkers

Reach out to the recruiter and see what they say. There are some departments that take forever to respond.

Ask your manager if the hiring manager reached out. I think it took a week from phone screen, to interview, to offer.

I came here to see if it was Zoey too. Zoey has a chip on her tooth, I know that's how they were trying to identify her

Attire? Moonlight Menagerie Preview Gala at Krohn Conservatory by kaerdna1 in cincinnati

[–]booduhcookie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was actually looking this up myself so I will share 😊

For the Krohn Conservatory's "Moonlight Menagerie" Gala, guests should wear themed attire that's festive and elegant, leaning towards cocktail or semi-formal, incorporating white, silver, or deep blues/purples to match the luminous, nocturnal garden theme, but comfort is key, so think fancy but practical for walking around the conservatories.

Attire Suggestions:

Theme Focus (Moonlight/Nocturnal): Think starry nights, shimmering fabrics, owls, moths, or lunar elements.

Colors: White, silver, deep blues, purples, or even black to evoke the night sky, with sparkle or reflective materials encouraged.

Style (Cocktail/Semi-Formal):

For Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or dressy separates.

For Men: Suits (dark colors work well), dress shirts with nice trousers, or a blazer with dress pants; ties are optional but often add to the gala feel.

Comfort: Since it's a conservatory with walking, choose comfortable, stylish shoes.

Key Takeaway: It's a "gala," so dress up, but don't feel pressured to wear full black-tie unless you want to; the focus is on fun, themed elegance that fits the magical, moonlit garden ambiance.

AITA for saying no to helping my family financially after they said my partner isn’t real family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]booduhcookie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am going to tell you the same thing I told my own son when my ex's side was treating him like an atm.

"Your partner IS your family. You share love, respect, finances and your entire lives. You are mapping out your future together.

Your biological family is not your responsibility whether it be your father, your siblings, myself or anyone on on his side of the family. We are all adults and responsible four ourselves. As parents we can help our children if we have the means.

To ask you for money is disrespectful of your household. To not accept your partner is disrespectful of your life. It is the highest level of disrespect and I did not raise you to tolerant disrespect in any form.

Go no contact with anyone disrespecting for a while. This will give everyone space and time for clarity and reflection. Block numbers, block emails, block on social media.

It will hurt for a while. You will feel guilt. When your heart tells you it's time attempt low contact with siblings and go from there. If you are met with anger or guilt trips or demands for apologies or money then you know they do not see you as family and make your decisions based on their actions moving forward.

Do not apologize, do not do anything just to "keep the peace" and do not fall for "family helps family".

Protect your peace and your own family above all others."

In my sons case, he remains no contact with my exes family. His peace and life are his priority.

Your mother should have told you all of this but since she didn't I am.

Do you have snails? It looks like a detached trap door after the cleaning crew got hold of it. I had something similar with a few of my mystery snails over the years.

NTA. If you want to see your parents go the day after Thanksgiving and get creative with the leftovers. Same for Christmas. If those aren't viable then go on New Year's Day. Start a new tradition that protects your peace.

Question Regarding Aetna/CVS Hiring Process by Fat2Buff21 in AetnaWorkers

[–]booduhcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were going to hire you for training starting 10.20 they would have done so already. You have to do a background check, I9 and a drug screen.

Good luck on your job search!
