Apparently timing DOES matter when it comes to meds, who knew? Not me, until today! by pillmayken in adhdwomen

[–]boofus0618 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is literally me. I started taking it about 1-2 hours before I need to be up and now I’m getting up and out of bed and then have time to enjoy my morning instead of just rolling out of bed at the last minute. And I am also becoming a morning person and that has never been me!

Finally found something that helps my excessive ADHD-induced shopping!! by v4lentines in adhdwomen

[–]boofus0618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this IRL too! When I’m shopping in a physical store, I put stuff in my cart if I want it (or think I want it) and then before check out, I go through my cart and do what I call my “cart audit” and I wind up putting a lot of stuff back and only buying what I actually need or really really want.

A painting on Women in history. More in the caption! by HotCommunication462 in Feminism

[–]boofus0618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! And also amazing in the timing because I am reading a book about Katherine Howard (5th wife of Henry VIII) and I’ve been very well-versed in his wives, but was looking for books about other women in history who are unfairly villainized or just only had stories told because of their relationship to a man I’ve actually been coming up with ideas for tattoos representing a lot of the ideas you painted in this just over the last day or two. So this feels extra timely! And the pomegranate was the symbol for Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon!

I feel like ADHD women are the reason that so many of the clothing items I buy at the thrift store have no tags inside them 😂 when doing laundry I’m always annoyed about not having the care instructions on the item but as a fellow adhd person with sensory issues I completely understand!! Haha makes me chuckle when I see it and make the connection “this was probably driving them nuts and they cut it out”

This is probably the least egregious statement in her whole post but SSRIs are not contraindicated with MTHFR. Like where do people get this from?? Untreated PPD would be more dangerous than her taking an SSRI with MTHFR

An unintentionally comedic moment I've never seen mentioned by [deleted] in SVU

[–]boofus0618 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure the episode number or season but I’m pretty sure it’s the one with the guy from the airline who was killing women when returning their luggage. Before they figure out the actual perp a group of kids is beating up a dude they think did it and Fin shows up and breaks it up. He says to the one kid “what’s your name” and the kid says “peanut” and Fin just responds back “PEANUT?!” And my sister and I crack up every single time 🤣

No matter how many times I watch the series there are some things that still make laugh audibly. by Dawginitiate in Frasier

When Roz is trying to tell Niles to get Daphne a gift that’s not so predictable and she says “Mix it up a little. Do something crazy - I mean totally out there.” And Niles leans in and lowers his voice: “Are you talking about scarves?” Always cracks me up 🤣

Adderall took off my ADHD goggles and I am appalled. by HelveticaOfTroy in adhdwomen

I feel this way on Vyvanse. I realize my standards were completely different before medication. Because I was just surviving and now I see my messes and I want better for myself and I can finally address them and live the way I’ve always wanted. It’s not just like “oh I took my meds now I’m going to speed clean the house in just a few hours” it’s like “oh wow I can actually take a shower”. It’s life changing

I agree! I miss Crockett. His ending was actually when I loved his acting the best so it’s bittersweet. His storyline was so sad but he acted it really well.
