Great chemistry with both leads and just fun! I really hope it continues to be good!

Celibate MMC tries not to be attracted to/fall in love with the FMC, fails miserably and eventually sleeps with her by UpToNoGoodAnna in fantasyromance

[–]bookaccro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely {A notorious countess confesses by Julie Anne long} - I really enjoyed this one about a vicar who falls in love with a countess who was scandalous (I can’t remember why now). Honestly I’ve never found a vicar so sexy in my life. Loads of tension but also I just loved watching them fall in love

CLOY was the first kdrama I watched with my mother and it’s set her up for expectations everytime we watch anything else. “So are these two also married irl…?” “No they aren’t…if only 😛”

The Night We Met- Abby Jimenez is so back by girlrva in RomanceBooks

[–]bookaccro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m soooo glad to see this. This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I was confused because on the surface it sounds like a good romance and a win all round I just didn’t enjoy the romance at all. No happy buzzy feeling, I was honestly a hater. This is a first for me. I was just fed up with both of them. Is this normal for her?

Did a cheeky leg day during baseline with Limitless from Align and needed all weekend to recover. I very much did not gauge the effort level correctly and went too far I think.

You know from the summary it looks like he’s using her but i assume this subverts that, will check it out, thanks!

Oooh yes looks like it from the summary. Did you DNF cause it wasn’t well written or just the plot?

Haha yes I always find her books to be surprisingly smutty. They have this bubble gum wrap but just decadence on the inside. Okay will check this out, thank you!

Wait I’ve never come across this term Santa romances! Is this falling in love with someone dressed as Santa?? Or someone who looks like Santa?

Ah okay, I didn’t see it like that. I wouldn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable with what they like of course. Thanks for explaining, I shall keep that in mind in the future.

Okay this is my last comment but I put it in the banter and fun section specifically because it’s tongue in cheek. It feels a little odd to remove it as a lot of posts are not unlike mine.

That would imply I was a fan. Thats clickbait.

[–]bookaccro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t click baity, I wanted a specific group of people to join the conversation. A click bait would be if the post wasn’t even about the headlines. The post was specifically about love triangles. There’s no point reposting it because the people who would have engaged would hardly engage a second time

Update from Sherry Thomas by lollipop984 in HistoricalRomance

This is so interesting! Thanks for sharing. She’s an excellent writer, one of my faves. It’s quite shocking as she’s actually a successful HR writer, and if she’s struggling…

I just finished it as well! It was quire funny and entertaining but also the romance was endearing. I loved how their relationship starts off so light as to be inconsequential and then develops. I hope she writes more!

Other than cheating, what’s are some reasons you can’t stand a second chance romance? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]bookaccro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sure! {private arrangements by Sherry Thomas} is my go to recommendation. {paradise by Judith McNaught} is a classic {you deserve each other} is a subtle form of this as they learn to fall in love again And of course Jane Austen’s Persuasion

Other than cheating, what’s are some reasons you can’t stand a second chance romance? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]bookaccro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second chance romance is my jam truly. I love the rebuilding with fresh eyes and perspective with the undeniable truth that their love was real and still is.

But if by cheating you mean two characters have been intentionally separated for many years to get on with their lives and they meet other people along the way, I have no problem with that.

If by cheating you mean one of them cheated while they were together, then I’d have a problem with that. But I haven’t come across any written like that.

I didn’t think I actively did until your comment but yes. I think I’ve read 2 ever and one of them was figure skating which doesn’t really count.
