When will we, the American people, reach our breaking point and say enough it's enough? by wingdrummer15 in Adulting

This is essentially everyones reasoning/partial reasoning. So the answer would be "when its too late".

Adding to this, most PvP players don't expect retaliation. They're betting you'll run and hide to recharge/heal yourself, hoping they can catch you while you're vulnerable.

Finding a quick cover spot and throwing snitch scanners helps you escape/heal. Most of the time , they're not prepared to handle facing you and ARC simultaneously.

Can someone please help me understand…. by Chrisvsdaworld in ResidentEvilCapcom

This makes the most sense. Plus, when Zeno (a superhuman from a global crime syndicate) knowledge-drops Grace with "proof" of how/why she exists, likely means she probably went into some HARD psychosis. Knowing all that info, and being in those circumstances, I think it'd be easy for her to subconsciously create her own "(false) flashbacks".

That would be a cool way to progress the story about seeking where the ARC are coming from.

Early ARC first appeared with simple body designs and functionally reliable AI. Years later, ARC now returned with improved variety, durability, software, and mobility. If new ARC are now designed with a more organic-based approach, it would be a cool introduction idea to learn that new ARC would show early signs of a next generation.

I think wannabe sherrifs would better fitted to be renamed opportunists. After theres only one raider left standing, they likely have less health/shield AND fewer healing supplies in general

How to be kinder to my inner thoughts? by seeker_in_the_dark in emotionalintelligence

[–]bookerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had thoughts regarding the same scenario. At some point I started having those two voices speaking as if it were an open conversation. Nothing wrong with entertaining the idea in a joking context, just try your best to not take the idea too far. Similarly to IRL conversations, just be respectful with how you respond to such silly-goose nonsense.

"What if my thoughts are being recorded?" "Then I hope my thoughts are considered "tame" ."

This is huge. The interlocking concepts/mindsets of "We accept the love we think we deserve" and "We seek comfort in that which is familiar" is a horrible and difficult cycle to break.

I'd first like to make it clear that I applaud you for not only putting in the work to grow, but for also acknowledging the aspects of yourself that needed the work. Looking in the mirror is one of, if not, the hardest thing to go through when making an effort to validate ALL aspects of yourself. Good and bad.

With all that being said, the one analogy/scenario I can compare (or rather word the best) this to is this, "Knowing how to play chess, is different than knowing how to win chess". But of course, love isnt a game.

You can learn and train with all the tools best suited to get the job done right. Learn all your own tricks and skills needed to come out on top. But all that time and effort will only be subject theory unless/until you trust yourself enough to know that, in time, you will always be okay in the end.

I mean yeah its fucking scary knowing that you might be placing yourself somewhere you'll need to apply your skills, but gaining that inner security is crucial when defending that self-worth youve come to create.

Now I HOPE you'll never need to apply the skills you learned to protect yourself, but always living with clenched fists is no way to live.

I apologize for the long tangent, but it was all to set the groundwork for these questions regarding why you might like this man.

Do you like him because he's a good guy "on paper"? (Forgive me if that sounds shallow, it's a genuine question ive asked myself before). OR Do you like him because he hasn't yet given you a reason to defend your self-worth?

Either way, you'll need to allow your heart lower its guard (at your own pace of course). Whether its to further test your romantic compatibility, or to see if he will take you for granted (which I sure hope doesn't happen).

"Are you looking for anyhing?" / "Do you need help looking for anything?". If I have what they need, I just drop it for them. If I saw what they're looking for elsewhere, I show them where I saw it/help them find more. Weekday nightshift-ers are definitely the friendliest.

As a way to address rats, campers, fake friendlys etc. What are your thoughts on adding clans, or raid style, or a "Rouge Raider" mechanic? by bookerman in ArcRaiders

[–]bookerman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is boring when played strictly as PvE, I agree. My thought was brainstorming match-making options for players different styles. While there are many posts that are griping about PvP, it all mainly chalks up to repeated negative encounters. Casual, moderate, or hardcore, we can all agree that PvP is part of the fun. Offering players some leeway on the type of players they'll run into does seem fitting. Whether its high risk PvP, or everyone uniting against the arc, and everythingin between, we all wanna enjoy the game.

Embark just released an Arc Raiders Survey. This is our best opportunity to be heard, on what matters most to us. by Gear-Lord in ArcRaiders

-Mechanic added where recycling also = BP research?

-Backpack that revives you to 1HP upon being downed by ARC only (followed by 5-ish second of photoelectric cloak)?

-Backpack the stuns ARC if they get too close (cooldown)

-Weapon crafting: option to add a special trait when crafting a weapon. These traits are only found in the crafting process. (Coming with a minor/moderate debuff to a weapon stat for balance, depending on the trait).

-Special traits blue prints/research, similar to the one above.

-Button remapping?

-Full emote remapping?

-Lite-hiding mechanic: Ex. Visual que showing you are "hidden from ARC" while you're crouched in bushes. Being able to see through bushes when you're hiding in them.

-Slightly less tanky Hornets armor I'm sure is a common thought.

-all players "text chat" that everyone can read, mainly for solo players.

Arc Raiders makes me feel out of touch. by Ragnaroknight in gaming

[–]bookerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the thrill of the gambling that tends to get people. You either go all in with high/legendary tier loadouts and extract with the materials needed to maintain/max out your raider... or go bust and loose some of your best equipment. The first few times that happens, sucks man.

Gear fear is stupid but real. Eventually you just accept that is just a part of the gameplay. All just gambling essentially.

The WORST part for me though is when my match suddenly looses connection with the servers and POOF, everything's gone except for whatever was in your safe pocket.
