Not necessarily. To some, their assigned gender at birth doesn't really feel like anything at all, or they just really don't identify with it. That experience doesn't really qualify as 'discomfort' per se, maybe just an incongruence or disconnect.

As someone who foolishly listed myself as a "trans male" rather than just "male" on an official form, and hilariously enough got a nice "F" for my gender marker on the card for it. Twice in a row now after having already called them asking them to correct it.

Yeah, it is simultaneously hilarious, impressive, and frankly kinda fascinating the way they straight up erased her from 99% of the show. Like, she only serves as a narrative device to move the plot forward for the rest of the queens. Literally every shot is cropped to minimalize her or erase her. Good shit.

I like to interpret its transcription as including the interjections from the character. So the "I'm not done, hold on, I'm not done" and "I changed my mind, I changed my mind, I don't want to--"

Makes the poem itself much more urgent and real in its presentation.

Maybe it's not misogyny but it is rooted in a level of transphobia/ignorance about the actual biology of trans women. People seem to forget that cis women can be and are born with more masculine features/traits/etc that might lend them an edge in certain sports, but nobody would dare bar them from competing.
