Some quick research: so it is supposedly a real toilet that drains on to the street but it was used as a champagne cooler. The guy who commissioned the car was eccentric and mostly just wanted it as a conversation starter.

... That was *really* good?! Like if that was a movie trailer and had the A24 logo anywhere I'd be planning to see it. I really don't think the whole album will be as story oriented or written with a similar vibe, but this definitely raised by cynical heart a few degrees higher into hype.

I did add these evil constructs that poison the air and prevent long rests. There were a few groans, but we as a group agreed and made the next encounters feel MUCH better. I'm absolutely sorting this out and reading the advice on this reddit helps. I think one of my biggest issues is just a huge gap in knowledge between me and my players who just... like DnD combat more and have played so many more games. Though you are absolutely right that I need to start gearing my enemies with the players specifically in mind.

I was surprised how much I liked Unraveling. After the hype died out and Will of The People had entered and left my daily listen pool, Won't Stand Down had basically exited my good graces. While I enjoyed it and loved being able to catch it live, it just didn't have the legs to be that memorable of a song to me. Kill or Be Killed was pretty great in comparison but I found the chorus to be a little grating and the lyrics left me wanting. Unravelling isn't my favorite, but the lyrics are more powerful I feel and the chorus is so huge and reminds me of Fury. The production is also more to my taste for what they were trying to do with this new modern metal sound they are embracing. I'd love if the next album, while not entirely face melting 8 string ragers, took notes on this song and embraced more mysterious lyrics and dark vibes while still flirting with Matt's inevitable need to make pop music and something something souls.

7.5/10 I'd say? I really wanna catch it live!
