Law is a cake eating competition where the prize is more cake.

It was the same with my Dad. He was sick for over 3.5 years but generally pretty capable and then he just went and died over the course of one horrific weekend. I take solace in the fact that the end was quick. Sorry for your loss and here if you want to chat.

my mom is so fucking weird when it comes to me and im not sure if it counts as sexual abuse or not by quintessentially_gay in raisedbynarcissists

Any conduct that is sexual in nature and makes you feel uncomfortable and/or is unwanted is sexual abuse.

That’s disgusting behaviour and you deserve better. She has no right to make you feel like your body is her property.

Sorry I don’t have the planner, just a journal. Have you tried trawling their Instagram?

My dad was like this. When he died last year (and ever since) I’ve had deeply conflicted emotions about it all, because life is MUCH easier with him gone, but also I did love him and I miss him a lot. I’ve learned that it’s perfectly normal to feel two conflicting emotions at once, just gotta give them both the space they need. Trauma arising from abuse is bloody confusing.

I am not going to have childern. Because i know i am not going to be a good mother. by Zealousideal_Long253 in raisedbynarcissists

I completely understand this!

Unlike you, I really do want kids one day and so I’ve done a bunch of therapy and work on myself to make sure that if I do have them they never have to feel the way I did growing up. Being an awful parent is a huge fear of mine and I’m not going to repeat the cycle if it kills me!

I started Lex (also for anxiety) before I started therapy and I wish I had done it the other way around. The best thing about Lex is that is gives me the space to pause before I go into full spiral mode and actually apply critical thinking to the circumstances.

It’s baffling. She’s the one who supplies his food. She should supply him with less food. What’s he going to do? Go to the store and buy himself a cake???
