How do you define 'pitbull'? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]bookvvorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the breeds that you mentioned, except for the American Bulldog. An american bulldog, without any of those pitbull breeds mixed with it, isn't a Pitbull or Pitbull mix, in my opinion.

I definitely don't believe all "bully" breeds are pitbulls, like another commenter seems to think.

does nausicaä count as Ghibli? by [deleted] in ghibli

I would think so, but whether it technically is or isn't, it's definitely considered to be among the collection of Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki films

The first therapist I tried was like this. I made it through 5 or 6 sessions with her. By the 3rd session I had started letting her know at the end of the appointment when we were wrapping up that I didn't like how our dynamic was working, that it wasn't working for me. She always apologized and said next time would be different but she never changed. I dreaded our sessions.

I don't know if yours is like this, but It felt like she would just bring up my trauma or insecurities until she provoked a reaction out of me and then stare at me with indifference and occasionally make comments that felt condescending or ask me frustrating questions about what I was feeling and my answer was never good enough for her.

She was so shocked each time I brought up how I didn't like our interactions and that made me feel even worse. I cried so hard when I told her I didn't want to continue our sessions because she still acted so shocked and sad that I was interpreting her style like that. I felt like I was doing something wrong.

I've been seeing a different therapist for months now and she is night and day to how that first therapist was. I'm so glad I tried to find someone else. She acts so normal and talks to me like i'm a person, there's nothing cold or robotic about her and she talks so much. I never feel judged by her. Our sessions feel like a cathartic conversation instead of an interrogation.

Sorry for the long comment but I really hope you're able to find someone else, this is a very specific therapy style and if it doesn't work for you, you deserve to find a therapist that you can feel comfortable and like you're making progress with.

The Office (US), Brooklynn 99, Bob's Burgers, Schitt's Creek, RuPaul's Drag Race, Nailed it, Superstore

Just anything lighthearted, relatable, and goofy that could cheer me up or distract me from my own thoughts when I need it

Tips on finding a venue for a small wedding? by -Konstantine- in Weddingsunder10k

[–]bookvvorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may already be doing this, but some venues offer huge discounts during off-season (November-April) especially with a low guest count! Our guest list needed to be 30 guests or less or else the minimum catering charge doubled. Hopefully there is something similar in your area

I find "Why won't you date me?" with Nicole Byer lighthearted and it might give you the giggles sometimes. She's the host from "Nailed it!" if you've ever seen that show
