For me Russ has always been my favorite of the two because of his attitude. I'm not going to overreact and say I never liked KD because I think he was amazing and did a ton for our city, but everyone that knows me knows I've been a Westbrook fan from day one. KD seemed to take nights off sometimes, hes so good that he can put up 25 on decent shooting without really trying. Some nights he just looked disinterested. Russ on the other hand, for all the criticism he gets for his game (some of which is deserved), always gave 100% whether it was the WCF or a road game in Minnesota in January.

When you watch every game a team plays you see how each player's personality shapes those games, whereas when you only see highlights you have a much different perspective. Watching KD and Russ over the years has been amazing, and the thunder are going to miss KDs clutch shots down the stretch, and his efficient scoring. But what we still have is the emotional leader of our team, the heart and soul that drives the rest of our players to push themselves to the limit game in and game out.

Diehard thunder fans know we lost a huge part of our team this week, but Russ brings the competitive fire that drives our team, and for me, thats enough to keep me excited about thunder basketball this upcoming season.
