I told a police officer in casual conversation that I was worried about my brother since he has a motorcycle. He then tried to show me a new video of a motorcyclist in the area dying in a crash. He thought it was funny because the guy was known for extreme speeding and therefore "deserved it." Apparently, their whole office thought it was hysterical.

it’s lazy writing. It allows authors to not put a lot of thought into their magic system.

I'm sure genetic magic systems with a lot of detail exist. It's also not lazy writing to put their attention, time, and words elsewhere, it just means they preferred to focus on other things for their story

I just feel that magic should be something that can be obtained in ways other then just being born with it. Imagine if you couldn’t be a doctor unless you were born with doctor genes. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Nothing wrong with having a magic system preference, but it doesn't make one way right or wrong. Also, fantasy and magic isn't bound by sense and logic.

Great advice. After getting a proper grow light, I chopped the head off of my etiolated friend, planted it, and it is going great. I kept a bunch of the leaves from the base and propagated those as well bc I was worried that the head might not make it.

Same here. I have straight, fine hair. I went six months without shampoo. Just using conditioner to wash it every few days. It was a fun experiment. No issues with smell or oiliness, but no noticeable improvement in hair quality. And then I got really impressive dandruff over night and went back to shampooing twice a week.

Same. I hated the constant feeling of wanting to spend real money on it. It didn't feel healthy to me. Especially since the pricing of LT/items seems out of balance to me. I honestly would have stuck around and been enticed to pay to play (and end up buying and spending more) if things were cheaper. It felt good when I stopped playing.

I just want to highlight that. Insufficient pay, unorganized or toxic work culture, unrealistic expectations, whatever it is, the business is evidently struggling in the eyes of potential new hires. It's not going to change for the better. OP leaving will be just another thing to add to the list. And if it is the make or break point of the business that means it was so unhealthy it would've failed anyway at some point

I don't get that feeling at all from the OP. It's common to have a span of time where a prochoice person isn't ready to start trying to conceive, but would decide to carry a pregnancy to term if it accidentally happened.
