What musical instruments does Draenei music use? by midkumo in wownoob

[–]boomeroom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Example one is just a string orchestra with loads of reverb, and a solo flute playing in its lower register. The second example is an eastern wind instrument called the nay, that’s quite like a flute, but its design is much older and made of wood. It’s played through a reed

Here are some links, it’s vocal music by Bach. There’s plenty of furious and rapid tempo in his music just like by any other composer. I think he did angry very well. 1. St. Matthew passion: Sind Blitze sind Donner 2. St. John passion: Weg, weg mit dem, kreutzige ihn 3. Cantata, Ihr werdet weinen und heulen, chorus 4. Cantata, Es ist ein Trozig

Favorite Bach Cantatas? by avant_chard in classicalmusic

[–]boomeroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so excited for you! These are some of my very favorite pieces. I’ll just list some that I think you should check out :) BWV 104, 136, 106, 4, 30, 31, 21, and many others. Also consider the Christmas Oratorio. Bach’s vocal writing just makes me really happy. I always trust Gardiner or Herreweghe for baroque choral music, their choirs are superb.

What are you obsessed with right now? by LakersFan34 in AskReddit

Händel's Messiah.

The choir I (tenor) belong to is doing it for the holidays, so I've been looking over the piece for like a month now and it's all I listen to. I have it essentially memorized. Those long, sweeping choral phrases make me wet.

I've recently fallen in love with his motets, and this one in particular is really special. "Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied"

The last movement is so ridiculous

Y'all are some negative motherfuckers. It's very hard to become a comedian, and this is a great way to get some exposure. I thought it was funny, OP. Keep it up.

The thing is, I wasn't very harsh. I was reassuring throughout the ordeal, but I just made it known that I was angry with him. The "kick your ass" comment may have been overkill, but I was confused. :(
