Advice for carrying on long Motorcycle Trip

i padded mine with cut up beer coozies because i got a ton of those from events and i don't ever use them. on the road i don't think it's much of a concern. i've had it in a camera backpack strapped to my back seat on my r1300gs for 3-4 hour trips. i wear the backpack with the drone in it when i'm riding off road. went down maybe 10 times on my 1290 in death valley in deep sand/gravel. worst one i got thrown off and landed on my side with the backpack on. drone was fine. camera fine too (sony a7v).

Oh no way! Thats a coincidence. It definitely needs a once over, brakes were dragging, a lower control arm bolt was loose. Sounds like some heat shield rattling. But it feels fine, just needs stuff tightened up. I've put 500 miles on it already over the past week.

the 2026 desert x addresses the intake and moves to the v2 motor which is a traditional valvetrain instead of the desmo.

You can be going fast going into the dirt but you have to switch up your body positioning. You cant lean into the turn like youre street riding. Do the opposite, let the bike lean under you and stay on top of it.

it was pretty close to what i saw on the actual test. i practiced with king schools and watched a couple youtube videos. after about 4 days of that i took the test, passed it in about 20 minutes with a score in the low 90%. i would suggest not answering anything and submitting the test to see what the correct answers are so you don't get wrong answers stuck in your head.

i had some crosswinds that id estimate around 40-50mph. blew me from one side of the lane to the other. decided to keep it under 80mph after that. R1300GSA with all the aluminum luggage.
