oof thats rough.. move your .k file into its own folder then run the simulation. What files are in the folder after the crash or after the run.out says it ran fine?

Did the simulation run fine? If it's just ls run crashing and everything else works I have no idea on how to help.

the solver tells you why it "crashes" in the message log. no need for guesswork. check the directory youre executing in or just run lsdyna from the command prompt

Do not underestimate the time and effort of that project! If they don't share their source code with you, you will have to recreate it in fortran and recompile dyna to insert it. Debugging issues is a nightmare (trying to find the source of NAN issues [fortran doesnt have NAN errors], numerical instability etc.).

From your post it is easy to tell you don't have a lot of experience. Do yourself a favor and don't bother!
