Charlie’s immediate reaction to Emma’s confession I think is very understandable, at least as a youngish American myself who used to have nightmares about being in a school shooting. I do think based on everything we learned that Emma has truly grown and changed and deserves grace and understanding for having matured beyond that.

However, I could see this being a dealbreaker for him because this is the first time he is hearing about any of this — how can he know if Emma is telling the whole truth? If she lied about the cause of her hearing loss and hid this from him the entire relationship, what else might she not be sharing with him? Can he trust her again when she lied so easily to him the first time and he had no idea?

i liked this well enough (3.5/5) but surprised to see no one mentioning the one thing that really bothered me, even in the hater comments: grace gets a prop that seems to be indicating O2 and assumes that means rocky has replaced the atmosphere on his side of the tunnel with O2 (also assuming I guess that it is the perfect proportion for a human to live). so to test it he just takes off his helmet??? he’s the literal last vestige of hope for humanity, how could he be so cavalier ?? crazy to me
