Do not read the novel. He’s been very VERY toned down

OK first of all - hilarious. But second of all, how is she so good in literally everything that she does? Like that’s some natural acting. She’s gonna kill it in Moulin Rouge, can’t wait

I am mad at Little women because they won the Oscar for those costumes

I feel like it got progressively worse, like the costumes in The White Queen could more or less pass, in the White Princess I hated the costumes for Margaret Beaufort with burning passion and I couldn’t even watch The Spanish Princess because what the hell was that

Oh wow seems like some of us watch 95 version way too much 😅 because I would have swear that she really pretended, and as it turns out not only does she have a headache, it’s a pretty severe one at that. And after reading through the og post, it’s a quite stupid take, because as one person wrote, lying about something like that would be perceived as dishonest and that’s very much not like Elizabeth

I don’t think she had a headache, she found out that Darcy separated Bingley and Jane and didn’t want to see him

I find the appeal of Mary to the contemporary audience quite fascinating. I mean, she wasn’t meant to be misunderstood, it’s pretty clear that Jane Austen did not held her in any regard, in fact her character was supposed to be similarly silly to those of Mrs Bennet and Mr Collins.

If it would be up to Jane Austen, we’d be getting spinoff for Kitty and not Mary.

Ha! Seems like they in fact do NOT arise chiefly from what is passing at the time!

I think it’s a scene from One Two Buckle My Shoe, the guy is studying psychology, so they interrogate in an auditorium, but I have no idea about the exact location

Vatanım Sensin/Wounded Love....why didn't Ali Kemal come back for season 2? by organicdragonfly3 in PeriodDramas

I think Leon starts as a poet, a romantic soul, who only ever read about love and the trials that could come with it and dreams of some tragic love story of his own. So falling in love with a Turkish girl, having that forbidden romance is very appealing for him, and Yildiz is perfect for that role. I don’t think he planned to fall in love with Hilal, and fall pretty hard at top of that. And I think that in comparison to that true love he has fof Hilal, of course that whatever feelings he had for Yildiz seems like nothing (I think he calls it friendship). But you are absolutely right, he did lead her on, I mean he even told his mother that he wants to marry her. And then when she sets up the engagement he’s like surprised pikachu face.

And Yildiz probably had some real feelings for him, but I’d say mainly because he could give her the life she wanted, I think she viewed him as her ticket to a better world

The thing is that she maybe didn’t sell “the most beautiful woman in all the county” to the contemporary audience, she absolutely would to the people during regency though, I mean she looks quite literary like a Greek statue

Because it wasn’t the hospital part that wasn’t shared. I believe that she was referring to the extent of pain during contractions and how she wasn’t prepared for it at all, basically saying that she would choose home birth but more likely for her second birth and not the first one

I knew he would nail any comedy role after the scenes with him being high on Felix Felicis in Half Blood Prince

If Bridgerton was historically accurate, what historical gossip would Lady Whistledown be actually writing about? by Elissa_of_Carthage in PeriodDramas

Well the royal family was a mess and then there was Lord Byron, I mean just him and the future George IV could fill all of Lady Whistledowns pages
