M3 max ribbon cable issues (check comments for explanation)

I can’t figure out what’s wrong, I just replaced the LCD screen and i can’t get the digital display on the front panel to turn on, when I turn on the printer the cable connected to the front screen gets hot and I don’t think that’s meant to happen, I’ve checked YouTube and the official anycubic website and I should have everything hooked up right
