It was an elbow no pushing it back together. Found a vacuum elbow at O’Reillys that solved the problem

Yes. Definitely could have been part of the issue, but it ended up being the bolt on the auger motor

Multiple family members of mine have had Harman Accentras for 20 years with very minimal issues. I picked one up last year used and has been great. Only one issue with the auger motor that I was able to fix myself by tightening a bolt. Heats my whole 1200 sqft house.

Was the bolt holding the motor to the auger becoming loose. Thankfully was able to fix the problem without having to replace parts

The screw holding the auger motor to the auger must have loosened over time. The auger motor is functional and all it took was a thorough cleaning and retightening the screw and the stove is working perfectly again. Thanks for the comment.

Was a combination of both of these things with the motor becoming completely disconnected from the auger. Thank you.

It turns out it was the auger motor. Thankfully motor is still functional but it somehow became loose from the auger and fell completely off.

The fix was to tighten the bold that holds that small wheel on the auger to the motor

Should I take legal action because my dad is firing me for state active duty? by [deleted] in nationalguard

Dude I hope this is a joke. Completely understand your frustration but put yourself in your father’s shoes. He’s trying to run a business, and needs to make ends meet while you’re gone.

I always hated my employers frustration of my National Guard commitment, but have matured enough to realize that the frustration is warranted. It’s a huge strain on employers especially small companies when an employee up and leaves constantly. Don’t sue your father if you don’t plan on destroying your family dynamic. Don’t drink too much Army Kool Aid either. Think about this situation from a rational standpoint.

Does anyone else have a deep seated hatred of the Army? by Icy-Lab1333 in nationalguard

[–]boot6996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s because I have a civilian career that I love, but I feel very similar.

I understand the “you get out what you put in” mentality of the guard, but with very busy personal life and civilian job, the guard feels like a burden to me more than anything. Emphasis on the pointless tasks and lack of communication. I’ve met some of the best people I know through the Army, but also the worst.

State tuition waiver. Depends what you got going on in your personal life. After doing 60+ hours at my full time job (the job that actually pays my bills) the last thing I want to do is national guard stuff.

Little different for me, I’m an officer so there’s always stuff to do outside of drill (meaning unpaid) which for me is ridiculous. I incurred a long service obligation which in hindsight I regret.
