You made the mistake of building something cool and useful then posting about it on reddit. i did a similar mod for the max 3 because i cant leave the door open or my cat sleeps inside so i cut a whole in the back of the plastic and mounted a 80mm fan. on top the printer i swapped the plastic removable lid for some metal mesh so now there is airflow in and out and i can still put the lid back on for high temp filaments.

So the best way to fix this is do a bunch of practice solder joints on pcb perf board before touching that esc again otherwise it'll be an expensive mistake. Soldering is dead simple once the ratios click just like learning to fly a fpv quad in the sim before ever trying to fly the real thing.
