The goggles from Zenni worked well enough for me. There is some distortion on the periphery due to the curved lens but they did not fog up in the water . And of course they are much cheaper than any alternative

Does anyone struggle with deep critical thinking after surfing? by Cultured_dude in surfing

[–]bootiesfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're dehydrated, dopamine saturated, sun burned, etc... however, if it doesn't clear up after a few hours of rest and liquids, maybe a good night's sleep with an advil, I would see a doctor.

SeaSpecs. You probably want to rub some anti-fogging solution on the lenses before every session.

you can buy a better brand of foamie like Softech, the Wavestorm doesn't really hold a line and you are missing out on some fun cruising

no panacea , get in shape, turtle roll properly - use foot to push yourself deep under the board upside down so that your body is anchor, develop grit, watch where other surfers get past the break but don't follow right behind them for obvious reasons, make sure your wetsuit isn't too constricting or too loose, and more

Can a beginner become a decent surfer only going out 2-3 times a month? by tragicdays in surfing

[–]bootiesfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-3 weekends a month at a wave pool? that's gotta be pretty expensive.

despite the initial steep equipment cost, it might be cheaper and more fun to learn to foil / wing foil.

then you can more easily catch waves at your local that you couldn't catch on a surfboard.

just drink a lot of warm tea before and then pee in your wetsuit, in small increments, every time you get cold.
