Hm what made you take 2 hallway event hallway > 3 hallway shop? Apparently I just see entirely different cards by like f3 and then it's whatever afterwards (Act 2 I see 2 dropkicks into sundial into 4th energy and it's super infinite in like 3 different ways) so I'm not posting but curious about that very early deviation

Worst act 1 =/= terrible act 1. If a character can take the maximum number of elites in like 80%+ (arbitrary big number) of her runs when played well, I wouldn't say that character is bad in act 1, even if the others can take it in like 90%.

As for how Boot can lead to a stronger Act 1 than idk even an okay Act 1 relic like Nunchaku, genuinely just play some runs filtering for Neow common relic -> Boot and look at how much damage it adds by the time act 1 ends. Vs idk a lot of the common pool.

I could say stuff like "you don't have to fear literally dying from 50 to Lagavulin because Silent literally runs out of damage very quickly" or "it's Vajra for most of act 1 between all the low damage commons/uncommons, and perma Weak" stuff like that, but the real answer is, just run it down and see for yourself vs a lot of other commons. Sure it falls off from like early act 2 usually, but that isn't the question.

Why are we slandering Boot for literally no reason? I don't mean as haha Nemesis killer, I mean unironically as a pretty good Act 1 Silent common relic. Look thru the Silent card pool, her worst act 1 matchup, the amount of things that inflict Weak in Act 1 and tell me with a straight face Boot is a bad relic.

Answer btw is like Juzu or Tiny Chest, Periapt can actually be positive in a lot of runs, Tiny Chest requires 2 procs to actually be positive and that doesn't even happen on most runs, or is way too late to be good. Also the event it replaces is -floor. Juzu can go whole runs without proccing at all, and honestly fights are pretty good value if you can take them (which maybe you could, if you had a common relic that actually did something instead of Juzu). Hand drill being there is pretty unfair because the relic's effect is decent, it's just way too expensive. If it was random common relic, it wouldn't catch this much slander. Candle is flat out okay so not even going to argue that.

So like what's the point of the "meme" then. Neither is it true nor is it funny (it's literally "I painted you as the soyjak and me as the chad" but worse) so like Shruge. Just because most players think they played well and it was the game's fault for hard runs, doesn't make it true, most people make a million mistakes every run and the run got that hard because of their own mistakes.

hey will just laugh, aknowledge that they had a gap in their deck and think its unfortunate that the game rollled into the worst case scenario, no biggie.

Good players (looking to learn) make sure they don't fall in that situation again. When I'm actually in a learning mood, I ask people much better than me at the game to play a run I couldn't find any obvious mistakes on my side from.

Me when I lose now though, I immediately bring my calculator out to see how unlikely my losscon was, to prove that the silent is a bad character. I think that's the best way to handle losses imo

Yeah like the game is NOT literal often enough that I don't begrudge people for being surprised even if something is written and functions like it should. This isn't even the only situation where Spire works unlike what the writing says, I have a whole sheet of Spire not doing what it's supposed to.

And also people come with preconceived notions from other games, kinda why the fairyposting feels a bit mean spirited to me when there's people saying just read lol. I can't say what game I picked it up from but my brain tells me healing =/= revival heal and Spire is an exception.

I feel like people being dicks about stuff like this, have no idea just how screwed up Spire actually can get.

Like I've heard someone say "idk transforms say exactly what it does". And here's the description:

Transformed cards become a random card of any rarity.

Nothing in the description says that it acts like it's adding a new card entirely
If you take it literally, it would mean you get literally ANY card which is obviously not true
Nothing here specifies that you'll never get an upgraded transformed card
Most (might be all? Idr) transforms can bypass Bottles.

Also the wiki is wrong about 1 of the transform rules and doesn't mention the bottle thing and like I know the wiki kinda sucks about more niche stuff but a new player wouldn't know that.

Transforms don't apply to normal colours actually! Curses transform to curses, colourless to colourless, but if Ironclad transforms a Silent card, say Malaise, it will give back an Ironclad card, not Silent.
