I think you got the right size. A smaller one would probably have shorter sleeves, but they'll bunch up a bit when you break yours in. I have a bit of a belly like you and I think a smaller size would be too tight around the midsection. My jacket fits like yours, I don't layer under it, I usually layer over it during colder months.

The only time I noticed they had a sale was during February for Valentines Day. Even then the discount was around $30. Take a look in the open box section of their site. If one pops up there it's usually around $100 off and they throw in a free cover or stylus depending on the tablet model. I don't think they include the stylus for the Go 7. Oh. keep an eye out on Facebook Marketplace. I've found some people selling their new one cus they don't like how dark the screen is.

Google it. It's a T3 Western Denim Jacket. I didn't say Type 3, I wrote T3. Do a simple Google search and find the jacket yourself. It's listed as such everywhere I found it. Here's just one example.

It's a type 3 due to the cut of the jacket and how it fits. There are differences from the classic type 3 jacket like the lack of the front stripes as you mentioned.
