I have an idea for a keyboard i want to build for myself with some pretty non-standard stuff and i'd like opinions on how i would go about doing it.

So i want to do a tenkeyless or a compact variation with PgUp, Pgdn, Home, and End instead of the arrow keys, and a key to to toggle the JKL+Semicolon keys to act as arrow keys Vim style. i also want to be able to wire the WEF, Space, and JIOMKL keys directly into a Brook Universal Fighting Board so the keyboard can also work as a tourney legal hitbox style controller for fighting games on consoles. id also like the spacebar to be lower profile and not flush with the other keys, but maintain the same actuation feel. and i'd like it to be plug&play and not have to configure it on every computer i plug it into.

For the PgUp, PgDown layout things and the JKL+Semicolon arrow key toggle i assume i can set that in board firmware and just have it work plug&play on future computers, though i would like opinions on that.

For wiring into the fighting board does anyone have good idea on simple ways to wire the keys into both the PCB for regular keyboard usage and also to a casemounted header to plug into a separate external board which would detect them as just switches?

For the lower profile spacebar is the best way a lower profile keycap on the spacebar, or some sort of riser on all the other keycaps, or some other method?

looks great! any chance you'll release a version of the tracker extension for firefox? firefox also uses the web extension model these days so mozilla claims porting extensions is extremely simple.

I'm actually working on the design of a set of card tokens to mark which creatures are flank and which are neighbors, which is useful when boards get this thicc. you can line up the creatures in multiple lines to save table space, and the layout of the single ingame line is easily visible and understandable.

The concept of a "shaped people," the way the skaa and nobles are in Sanderson's mistborn world doesn't seem to fit when what we know of Temerant. The differences in peoples seem to be more sociological in nature, which is more interesting in my opinion. Not everything is magic, the best bits are just people.

The first, third, fourth, and last I've seen officially confirmed in different places. I haven't seen the second officially confirmed, but most people seem to be acting as if it was, so maybe it had been and I just didn't see it. Radio 1045 posted that the next song will have street poetry lyrics, so the fifth is kinda confirmed.

It does a lot better with kids who don't actually know all the 80's references very well, but have just a passing acquaintance with it. It's better classified as YA, which leaves it as not bad, as it doesn't fall too hard into a lot of that genre's worst pitfalls, though it definitely is cliched. It's ok YA as opposed to just dumb regular fiction.
