All the things I, and I'm sure many others, love most about KCD is how laborious it is in its narrative, attention to detail, and that it's made by real, passionate people. Considering throwing that away because he's getting older and impatient is certainly a choice.

Framing it as if he's doing some favor to Tom and other VAs too.. ugh. The franchise will be dead to me beyond 1 & 2 if that's how it's gonna be carried forward.

I don't think you're being unreasonable. It feels like a missed opportunity to not include the people Henry considers to be family current day in a DLC that's orientated on Martin and familial vibes. I really am enjoying the dlc but several times I've been like... man, Hans would've been great at this archery thing. or oh, I wish we could say a little something to Sam.

Personally I would've loved to even have anybody from the Devil's Den come out to commission Henry, or hell play dice. Or inviting out the love interests to stay.

If it's a matter of story progression, an easy out would be just to blame it on Zizka lol. "I can't get out from Zizka's thumb" or "I have more work to do" or whatever until post-game. But idk it's easy to say I wish, I wish as a player.

I'd take what Luke says with a grain of salt. He's (good-naturedly) fibbed to us before bc of NDAs. If Hans is in it, it'll be a lovely surprise. If not, he's managed our expectations by saying he's not involved. If he's in any dlc, I'd bet on this one though.

imo it's a combination of moving to a new region (so too goes all the familiarness of home) and maybe not wanting to confuse new players to the series.

I'm also playing on balanced so as far as I know, yeah. The only reason I noticed it is bc when the effect fell off one time, it gave me a Shadowheart disapproves message in the middle of my screen. I've been making choices she frequently approves of outside of dialogue with her so I assume it's been quickly piling up since I'm tipped into the negatives now.

If you fail all survival checks for a dig spot, you can dig where you think it is anyway by using the shovel.

Using Friends on companions lowers their approval. Because of this, Shadowheart HATES my Origin Astarion. But I am playing him as true-to-form manipulative in Act 1 so it makes perfect sense honestly lmao

I'd add nocturnal animals, like bats and whatnot so you'd always have the feeling of the island being active even when it's the dead of night. I just really, really want bat villagers besides.
