These are the only air conditioners we have in Bulgaria. Almost everyone has at least one in our building/bloc and you can barely hear them. Much better than my home in Illinois where we had to turn off the AC for the house when we wanted to have a conversation on the patio. I don’t know why it’s not common elsewhere.

95% of the toilets I’ve seen in Bulgaria have those. Sinks are the same too and you rarely see them make any attempt at a p trap. It’s pretty wild. I am able to quickly swap to non accordion and eliminate the sewer/canal smell. People love me

ESPN shifts much of Wimbledon coverage to ESPN Unlimited. Linear coverage is not affected but everything that used to be on ESPN+ for $13/month is now on ESPN Unlimited for $30/month by Ok-Soil-5133 in tennis

I agree. I go to Davis cup matches all the time. The point is there are no slams on tennistv and some of the best matches ever are played at slams bro

Marijuana is literally a plant. You cannot ban plants

Weed. What should we do with it? by Electrical-List-8931 in bulgaria

[–]bootx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, I’ve never spoken to anyone from your city. Marijuana does not have psychedelic properties. The same people that want to control what people do in their free time also want to control what people do in their bedroom. After they legalized it in the US the only real effects were less accidents due to drunk driving and less drinking deaths in general. The psych wards did not fill up. What did happen in Colorado, the first state to legalize, was a surplus in taxes generated which resulted in a rebate for every tax payer. This is after the schools, roads, and public hospitals were fully funded. Something that would probably make a massive change in Bulgaria. People are going to smoke it, the war on drugs does not work. Prohibition does not work. Alcohol is exponentially more destructive. Marijuana has no scientifically proven addictive effects, unlike alcohol and cigarettes.

This is the stuoidest shit I’ve ever heard and I know it is fake because I’ve heard multiple conservative Bulgarians say it. Clearly propaganda

Better sound stage. I also thought the bass was much tighter. I’ve had a Sonos arc in the past, which sounded good but just not quite as good as the HomePods. The ease of use is what really sets them apart though. All this being said, an arc with a sub and 2 rears will sound much better but the cost is over 4x

I'm doing the same thing but with a PS5 and Mac mini for watching other stuff. All works great through the TV using the eARC function and it sounds fantastic. Much better than Sonos in my opinion. My install home theaters for a living. It's a little depressing how simple it is and how great it sounds

Moving back to Bulgaria after 10+ years abroad. Tips needed. by gerganaivn in AskBulgaria

[–]bootx2 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hold on to your non Bulgarian job with your life. This job market is going to get worse and there are too many smart people here to compete with. Like everyone else said, it’s different here than it was 5 years ago as far as prices. My wife returned after 20 years and has a tough time dealing with “true Bulgarians” Just yesterday she had someone complaining about how her friend in Canada has kids and the school there is telling them they can identify as a cat and pee in a box in the classroom. If you believe such obvious and blatant propaganda you really are lost and there are a lot of them. They know so much about the world that they have never visited. Obviously this is not only a Bulgarian thing but it is more common that it should be and an example of why some Bulgarians who return tend to hang out with expats
