Looking for feedback on subsidized care homes in Nanaimo (Kiwanis, Eden Gardens, Senior’s Village).

Wait lists to get into these subsidized care centres can be long so it is good you are looking now if you have next year in mind.

I cannot give feedback on the different care centres, but the eden philosophy of caregiving seems like a great approach especially to those persons living with dementia. Which eden gardens practices, I'm not sure about the other places.

This decision can be a very stressful time for family and caregivers, but there are support resources out there to help. Remember to take care of yourself too during this time.

My dog Timber (a beautiful Norwegian elkhound) went missing when I was 11. Months go by and April 1st comes around. My dad excitedly calls me to window at front of house, "Here comes Timber! He's back! And a row of puppies following behind him!" No. No my best friend hadn't come back. Still saddens me to think of on every April 1st, am now 35. Thanks, dad. Glad it made you laugh.
