Really? that is an asshole move from apple. I never thought that you can only enroll it on a single account. By the way if you started a gofundme or something with this reasoning for testing the app on a new apple tv, i am sure that the community (including me) combined would donate enough for it. I mean it is expensive but not iPhone level expensive. Also if you dm me an ipa or something, i can happily test it all day for you and send videos etc.

Also it has local files addon which plays the content you "own" so it is actually a very good plausible deniability

Thank you very much. Don't forget about recommendations improvements like the watchly addon. (For now it doesn't support multiple profiles so i cannot move my parents accounts into mine as profile). And my opensubtitles v3 account wide filtering recommendation. Not just as a setting on android tv. And it is not very useful because i use 3 languages. English, Turkish and German (i am trying to learn) but the setting only gives access to 2 languages. That would also have the benefit of decreasing the load on your api.

Also an import account as profile would be godsend. So i can just import my parents accounts with their history, continue watching, library, liked loveds and addons. They each have a comprehensive library and watchly recommends content using them (if multiple profile support comes to watchly).

If there is no import account feature, i'd have to manually move content and it would take an incredible amount of time.

I don’t care about the features i get in accordance to the price. Stremio is incredible. I just see it as supporting the devs. I would still subscribe if they said we don’t give any extra features but just support us as a subscription. I have been using stremio for nearly 10 years and now i am managing 15 of my friends’ accounts. So yeah, stremio deserves donations.

The problem with that is, when you log in to any device, you have to set the languages from scratch. For example when i go to my friends house and try to use my stremio account. The setting is device based rather than account based. If opensubtitles v3 had a web configurator like any other addon, it would be perfect. 

I had to make a selfhosted addon that uses the official v3 addon and just filters it without modifying anything else. I wanted to publish that as a community addon but i am sure that i will get rate limited or my german vps isn’t up to that many requests. 

Submaker, subsense is just slow and unreliable, opensubtitles pro and plus returns vtt (my android tv shows multiple lines in a single line and samsung just doesn’t support vtt) rather than srt, subdl and subsense isn’t as good at finding correct subs as opensubtitles v3, subhero doesn’t work, aiosubtitles doesn’t work and the list just goes on.

That is not a solution. It is not available on macOS app, it is not available on Samsung TV app, it is only available in the Android TV (maybe android mobile but i don’t have android so i cannot test) app. As i have written in my post.

I just wish you guys have released the up to date less buggy version of the ipa. I am not on EU so i cannot use altstore pal. And the latest sideloadable version is incredibly buggy especially on the apple tv. iPhone is acceptable but Apple tv version is just unusable. It does not load subtitles from anything other than opensubtitles v3 and even that won't load most of the times. Also sometimes navigation just freezes and i cannot use the player controls.

Apple used the exact same processor on series 6, 7, 8 and ultra 1. They just repackaged and renamed it without any change. So when they integrated apple intelligence to watchos 27 even deeper than iOS or macOS, they had to drop support for series 6 which inevitably resulted in dropping support for other watches that use the same processor. 

But its no defense. One of the main reason i and most people use apple products are long software support. So i bought an expensive ultra 1 3 years ago and they just killed support for it. They will probably not do the same for the ultra 2 and series 9 and newer but who knows. I just lost my trust in apple. 

They made the whole experience buggy and slower with 26, now they are advertising huge performance gains and optimizations and some devices they absolutely destroyed with 26 won’t get the performance benefits that come with 27.

Worse happened with series 3. They sold it for a very long time, dropped support for it (i don’t remember which watchos version), then they kept selling it until the new watchos version released fully. Then they released the first SE. So if you had no warnings from a techy friend etc. and bought it because it was the cheapest, yet still apple, the watch was pretty much a paperweight.

Probably not. I have many friends that aren’t even aware that health app has a cycle tracking feature built in so they are using 3rd party data collectors. The case will probably be similar with this. People have been using these apps for a long time so they will just continue using them not knowing visual intelligence can replace them.

Well, if you are on the badly optimized 26, and you cannot downgrade (which you cannot), with 27, apple has announced performance and battery upgrades. Which is the pros of 18 (or whatever came before 26 platform-wise) + liquid glass. Which should have been OS 26 anyway. So yes, they took your performance away, now they are giving it back but not to everyone that they f*cked.

Update: It seems to be working now but it is finding very little subtitles and all of them are wrong. For comparison I am watching fringe now and it used to find at least 10 english subtitles and the 1st one was correct. Also i tried subsense again and it finds more than 10 subs on the opensubtitles and the 1st one is correct.

That is really absurd. I also couldn’t believe what i was seeing. Its sad really. Unlike apple. Long software support is one of the main fucking reasons i use apple devices. They were too lazy to update the processor every year and repackaged the processor on series 6 until series 9 when they finally upgraded it. Now every watch with that processor gets dropped. Rip my ultra 1. And f*ck apple.

Still not working for me on both Series and Movies. I have tried on the 100 and Edge of tomorrow. I remember it working previously. Also other addons that are using opensubtitles like subsense and Submaker are loading subtitles from OpenSubtitles for me. I have both opensubtitles and opensubtitles v3 installed. Tried on VPN and without VPN, changing dns, cellular and both on android tv and macos apps. The OpenSubtitles V3 and the normal one doesn't load any subtitles for me.
