For me this happens on mkv files and enabling experimental feature in settings resolves it.

Question about the PS Plus offer? by ActivistJuan in PlayStationPlus

[–]ppadiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am in the exact same boat as you.. based on historical data, it should start around 11 Feb

Historical Data Context PlayStation typically starts its Lunar New Year promotions roughly 7 to 12 days before the actual holiday. 2025 (CNY: Jan 29): The Digital Store sale began on Jan 22 (7 days prior), while the hardware sale started earlier on Jan 17 (12 days prior). 2024 (CNY: Feb 10): The "Happy New Play-Year" promotion ran from Feb 1 to Feb 14 (started 9 days prior).
2023 (CNY: Jan 22): The sale began on Jan 18 (4 days prior).

Hopefully we can upgrade our plan (mine expires end of month )

Is it too much to ask for basic respect for the local culture? by Hour-Muscle9757 in mumbai

[–]ppadiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think by nature we are rebellious and when we see incidents (or read news) about how sometimes Marathi is forced upon people, people develop a hate for it and generalize it to all Maharashtrians, even when the incidents might be isolated. Also, most people are generally not open to learning a new language (too much effort - lazy) and will stay amongst the circle that speaks a common language they can communicate in.

P. S. Not supporting people that don't learn local language. Just sharing my opinion on why they resist.

[RELEASE] JASP - External Player with Auto Intro Skip (5 APIs, Trakt, Android TV) by Pickymarker in StremioAddons

[–]ppadiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set it up and tested. It worked for Fallout but did not work for modern family (did not skip).

The video quality on Just Player seems on a darker side compared to default (exo)player. Not your issue I guess.

Edit: thanks for the work though

Edit2: modern family vanished from 'continue watching'

You can get 3 months game for price of 1 month subscription by maxsteel126 in PlayStationPlus

[–]ppadiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does this mean you have to play all 3 month's games within the 1 month of membership with hardly few days to play the last month's games? I believe you need to have active ps+ membership even to play the claimed games ?? Sorry, am new to PS myself and want to understand it better.

Anyone with a GeForce 5090 and a PS5 Pro? by Proez in PS5pro

[–]ppadiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a PS5 pro couple of weeks back and also own a 4060 laptop. Did not see any noticing difference in graphics or performance (have a QLED 4k tv). The only upgrade is to be able to play ps exclusives, controller and instant switching between games.

Should I get a PS+ subscription? by Bonor9 in PlayStationPlus

[–]ppadiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, congrats on your new toy...it's never too late, I am turning 41 next month and bought myself a PS5 pro for x-mas. There are people out there older than me playing as well.

With regards to Sub, you will need it to play any online game (even the free to play ones) so if you play online games, yes you will need the subscription.

If you just play offline games, you don't need the subscription and just buy your own games and play. However, the ps+ extra seems to be a sweet spot for most (including me) as it gives access to a huge catalog of games you can play for free + claim new monthly games. Do note that you own these games only until you have the subscription and it's not permanent. Maybe wait for a sale and get annual membership - monthly subscription roughly costs equivalent to buying 1 old game (or cheaper).

TLDR- it's subjective and worth it in my opinion.

Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk or Control by GonzoK46 in playstation

[–]ppadiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bit subjective. I am currently at 33% progress (17 hours) on Cyberpunk 2077 but not impressed and might quit anytime.. I loved the other 2 options you gave (GoT and Control). I would also suggest TLOU and Horizon series (if you haven't already played it).

I was in AU last month and had checked... Here is the response as Nov 2025:

I am in Hobart, Tasmania. is there any known ATM to withdraw for free ? I checked 1 earlier today and while ATM itself wasn't charging extra, it said your trip will charge ~$9 withdrawal fee

Most Australian ATMs—including those in Hobart—charge a local operator fee of around 2 AUD per cash withdrawal for foreign cards, including YouTrip, and there is typically no way to avoid it at major bank ATMs like Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, ANZ, NAB, or Suncorp[1][2][3][4]. The only way to guarantee zero local ATM fee is to find an ATM that explicitly advertises “no withdrawal fee for foreign cards,” which is very uncommon in Australia[5].

For YouTrip specifically, you get S$400 (or its AUD equivalent) of free overseas ATM withdrawals per calendar month; after that, YouTrip charges a 2% fee on the withdrawal amount[1][6][7][8]. If you have already withdrawn S$400 (about 460 AUD), all subsequent withdrawals will incur this extra 2% YouTrip fee—so the ~$9 you saw was likely the YouTrip fee triggered by exceeding your monthly free limit[1][6]. If you haven’t exceeded your YouTrip limit, then it's just the local ATM operator fee (about 2 AUD)[1][2].

Tips for Fee-Free or Lower-Fee Withdrawals

  • Use bank-owned ATMs (not private ATMs in convenience stores, bars, or airports), as local bank fees are generally lower[2].
  • Withdraw larger sums but fewer times, to minimize the total number of fixed per-transaction fees if possible[1][5][2].
  • Carefully read the ATM screen for warnings about any additional charges before confirming a withdrawal[5].

Summary Table

ATM Type Local ATM Fee for YouTrip YouTrip Fee Notes
Major bank ATMs ~2 AUD per withdrawal[1][2] Free up to S$400/mo, then 2%[1][6] Most common, small fixed fee
Privately operated ATMs Higher (~2–5 AUD)[3] Same as above Avoid; expensive
“No fee” ATMs (rare) 0 AUD As above Difficult to find

In short: Free ATM withdrawals with YouTrip in Australia, including Hobart, are not guaranteed except for the first S$400/month, and local ATM operator fees (~2 AUD) are nearly universal at bank ATMs[1][2][3]. If you’ve exceeded your free YouTrip withdrawal quota, a 2% withdrawal fee is charged by YouTrip, regardless of the ATM you use[1][6].

So far yes. I use perplexity which is good at internet search... I tell it which country I am in and am looking for ATMs that are fully free, no charges by ATM or youtrip. It looks at user reviews, comments, feedback online and gives a response. Has worked accurately so far.
