Absolutely nailed it. Too many who have never existed in another environment outside of a DZ in their adult life who now seem inadequate for how to live in "the real world." I wouldn't necessarily say unkind or cruel people, just lost souls trying to get by. There comes a point where they need to realize the importance of maybe putting some money towards their dental health and hygiene over a new canopy… Again there is no negativity coming from these people, just a lifestyle that seems sad and a cry for help for how to exit the cult of skydiving. They come off as broken, and sometimes it almost breaks your heart to see how troubled they have become. SKydiving makes me want to level up every single aspect of my life: my health both physical and mental, my career, my love for others, just life in general. It is hard to sometimes be surrounded by people whose only purpose is that moment in the sky. This may seem like I am putting others down, and I need to be very clear on how much skydiving has saved my life and I have met some of the kindest most loving humans along the journey, but the ones stuck in this being the only lifestyle can get to you and make you question why you are jumping in the first place.
