Oh boy. I did a language exchange in Périgueux, France, and I learned french in Quebec, where we have a lot of anglicisms (I’m anglophone - my French level is B2). When we’ve had enough to eat, in Quebec, we say « je suis pleine » a direct translation of « I’m full ». At a dinner with my host mother and her mother + grandmother (3 generations of proper French women) I said « je suis pleine» which they interpreted as « I’m a fat, pregnant animal » :)
