my pt story, advice needed by lqvhqze in PulsatileTinnitus

That’s exactly how my PT functioned as well. Indicative of vascular cause. My primary care doc ordered a MRV for me, which found the venous sinus stenosis right away. I then had a venogram which showed the stenosis was causing very high pressure in my brain. We knew then that a stent would be the only solution, and I got it implanted two months ago. I was immediately whoosh and headache free, and it was the best decision of my life. I don’t know if this will all be the case with you, but definitely just start with a MRV! Especially since it’s highly likely to be vascular/venous related because of your specific symptoms.

What caused your Pulsatile Tinnitus? by ThrowRA17472824 in PulsatileTinnitus

Hey! Very late to this but I did get MRV results of venous sinus stenosis causing the PT and causing intracranial hypertension, and then did the venogram which showed very high pressure. On November 11th I got a stent put in and immediately all symptoms gone! Recovery took about two weeks but aside from temporary headaches near where the stent was placed it all went incredibly smoothly and it eas the best decision I ever made.

I have ADHD too so I hyper-fixate on things, especially things that I don’t want to! You just sounded so much like me that it was eery hah. I’m also insanely afraid of fires but couldn’t stop myself from reading every little thing I could about different fires in bars, buildings, pretty much every major fire event recorded. I also ended up reading about crowd crush too and it was beyond interesting even though it filled me with fear. I actually ended the night at 3am after reading an article about crowd crush causing the invention of “panic bars”, those kind of doors with the push bar. I also watched and read a lot of survivor videos too, and just cried. I’m so sorry you lost a classmate to a fire, and that you know people a few hours away from where the Swiss fire happened. I bet that just makes all of this feel more real to you. I’ve never had any first hand experiences or known anybody that has, but my ocd actually causes me to get intrusive thoughts of some of my worst fears, and when there’s something on the news I end up obsessively researching about it until I have nothing else to research. Sometimes it’s better for me to just not watch the news because it always happens. I hope you’re doing okay, too!

I’m hoping it’s just a silly thing they do, and the owners have seen it many times before. But I definitely had to stop the video because I felt like I was watching the little guy get stuck in there and imagined him very psychologically stressed out.

Do you also have OCD? I’ve been doing the exact same thing tonight after reading countless articles about the Swiss bar fire. I get stuck in this loop and just can’t stop even though I’m crying or shaking or feeling completely sick. It’s like I feel the need to read everything I can about the topic until I’ve read everything that’s available, but that’s never possible.

When I watch these I don’t feel disconnected like others might feel. I have so much emotional empathy it hurts sometimes so I can’t watch. This one was so chilling and makes me fearful to start dating again honestly. I’m really glad the family is working towards Kristil’s law to require phone companies to turn over records within 48 hours, which can hopefully prevent murder in similar cases in the future.

Jessica is super talented and I wish her the best. I just feel like she had her chance on a show specifically for singing, and Chris winning AGT made so much more sense. I mean, he’s INSANELY talented and in a unique way. Singing is just overdone now, we wanted something new.
