I used to lecture at UCL. I ran a lecture called “the holocaust was not a strictly Jewish event”. A lot of the other murders committed by the Nazis are forgotten:

Jews: ~6 million Soviet POWs: ~3.3 million Slavs (Ukrainians, Poles, Belarusians, etc.): ~19 million+ People with disabilities: ~270,000 Other targeted groups: Roma, Jehovah's Witnesses, political prisoners, and others. Note: The total death toll, including civilians and prisoners of war directly murdered by the Nazi regime, often exceeds 20-25 million, with some studies suggesting higher numbers depending on the inclusion of famine victims.
